Job summary

UnitedHealth Group seeks a Project Six Sigma Consultant to drive PMO initiatives across business teams. You will define scope, manage risks, and coordinate with vendors to ensure timely, on-scope project delivery. Senior leadership will review performance data and outcomes.

The role requires Six Sigma certification (Black Belt preferred) and 4+ years in PMO with strong analytical skills. Prior experience in a PMO is a plus.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field or equivalent experience.
• Six Sigma certification required; Black Belt preferred.
• 4+ years of project management administration/PMO experience with portfolio tracking.
• 2+ years of data tracking, planning projects, and data-driven decisions.
• Strong MS Project, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint and SharePoint skills.
• Strong communication and meeting facilitation abilities.

Are you a subject matter expertise using Six Sigma methodology in project management, scope definition, risk identification, methodology and resource allocation or facilitation? Assist us with strategic initiatives crossing business teams and operating groups as a Project Six Sigma Consultant to coordinate and complete projects, define performance and results and manage vendors and service providers. You'll investigate non-standard requests and problems, makes presentations to senior leadership, ensure project documentation is accurate and ensure projects are completed on time and within scope. Pertinent data and facts will be reviewed to identify and solve issues and mitigate risks, prioritize your work load and work on ad hoc projects as assigned. Six Sigma Certification or in process of Certification for Project Management required and previous experience in a Project Management Office (PMO) is a plus.

Primary Responsibility:

Required Qualifications:

• BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field and/or equivalent education and experience
• Six Sigma certification required, Black Belt preferred
• 4+ years of project management administration and/or project management experience to include tracking/reporting responsibilities for a large portfolio of projects
• 2+ years of experience in tracking, planning projects, working with large data sets and making data-driven analytical decisions
• Moderate to advance MS Project, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint and SharePoint skills
• Demonstrated ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely and to ability to facilitate meetings
• Demonstrated excellent time management, organizational, and prioritization skills and ability to balance multiple priorities
