Job summary

The Warden at People, Jobs, and News manages day-to-day hostel operations to ensure student safety, discipline, and service delivery in line with SOPs.

You will oversee attendance and leave management, student support and engagement, as well as parcel/records handling; conduct daily room audits; coordinate health or emergency responses; and work in shifts to meet demand. This role requires strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to student welfare in a dynamic residential environment.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years experience in hostel, hospitality, or customer service roles.

Responsibilities

• Attendance & leave management: take daily attendance, track absentees, ensure adherence to leave system.
• Student support & engagement: be first point of contact, conduct regular interactions, support onboarding and daily student needs.
• Complaint & ticket handling: log complaints, coordinate with HK/R&M/Security, ensure closure confirmation.
• Room audits & compliance: conduct daily room checks for hygiene and safety, raise tickets for issues.
• Parcel & records management: manage parcel entries and handovers, maintain registers and reports.
• Health & emergency support: identify unwell students, provide first-level care, coordinate hospital visits.

The Warden is responsible for day-to-day hostel operations execution, ensuring student safety, discipline, and service delivery as per SOPs.

Key Responsibilities

• Attendance & Leave Management
  • Take daily attendance and update systems/registers
  • Track absentees, late entries, and leave movements
  • Ensure strict adherence to app-based leave system
• Student Support & Engagement
  • Act as first point of contact for students
  • Conduct regular student interactions and capture feedback
  • Support onboarding, room allotment, and daily student needs
• Complaint & Ticket Handling
  • Log complaints accurately in the system
  • Coordinate with HK, R&M, and Security teams
  • Ensure closure confirmation from students
• Room Audits & Compliance
  • Conduct daily room audits (hygiene, safety, assets)
  • Raise tickets for issues identified
• Parcel & Records Management
  • Manage parcel entries and handovers
  • Maintain operational registers and reports

Eligibility Criteria
