Job summary

Vyntrapro Innovations is seeking an OpenShift Administrator with 10+ years of hands-on experience to join the team in Bangalore. The role focuses on system administration, installation, upgrade, and configuration of Red Hat OpenShift, along with daily maintenance and troubleshooting across the cluster.

Responsibilities include LDAP sync, project management, quota configuration, and ensuring high availability. A RH OpenShift Administrator certification is a plus; 24x7 shift coverage is required.

• Willing to work in 24x7 shifts on rotation from client location.

• Red Hat Certified OpenShift Administrator certification would be an added advantage.

Job Title : OpenShift AdministratorL3 (10 Years)

Job Location : Bangalore

Role and Responsibilities:

• System administration on OpenShift RedHat
• Installation, upgradation, configuration setup of Red Hat OpenShift.
• Troubleshoot issues with worker nodes, maintenance, and scale-out tasks.
• Performing Maintenance activities on cluster line performing patching, configuration changes, installing operators etc.
• LDAP sync configuration, adding and removing users and assigning roles to groups users.
• Create, Modify & delete of projects. Assign project specific roles to users groups.
• Assist application team on resolving issues with pods like crash loopback, image pull back and other errors.
• Monitor registry storage and perform regular cleanup. Assist application team in pushing required images to OpenShift cluster.
• Configure, modify project quotas and limit ranges. Assist application team on issues with quotas and limits.
• Perform certificate management when the existing certificates are expired and when needed.
• Check cluster utilization and share reports to business when needed. Forecast capacity growth requirement and handle capacity increase.
• Perform Daily health check of cluster and fix issues based on observations.
• Implement and customize Grafana dashboards if required to effectively monitor the cluster
• Backup of critical configuration and DB when needed or before any maintenance activities.
• Planning and platform patching and upgrade with Zero downtime.
• Customize master and node configurations post deployment of OpenShift to meet requirements.
• Post OpenShift deployment, configure OpenShift platform to use custom SSL certificates provided by customer for console and application URL.
• Hands on experience in Docker, Kubernetes, Cloud products
• Strong DevOps/CI/CD process architecture/engineering
• Ensure availability, reliability, and performance of OpenShift/Container Platform
• Perform patching, software implementations, and upgrades to RedHat OpenShift platforms.
• Hands on experience in Docker, Kubernetes, Cloud products, Grafana, Splunk
• Install, configure, and maintain OpenShift environments
• Ensure high availability and reliability of the OpenShift platform
• Monitor and optimize cluster performance
• Implement security best practices within the cluster
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues within the OpenShift environment
• Collaborate with development teams for seamless application deployment
• Document procedures and provide training to team members
• Conduct regular backups and disaster recovery operations

Required Professional and Technical Expertise:

• Candidate should have 10+ Years of experience OpenShift.
• Willing to work in Shifts 24*7 on rotation basis from Client location.
• Location: Bangalore
• Red Hat Certified OpenShift Administrator certification would be added advantage .
