Job summary

Rnrcertification in Pune, India seeks an experienced OpenShift Administrator to own production and non-production OpenShift clusters. The role requires 8+ years of hands-on experience and L3 capabilities, with a permanent position and an in-office work mode (5 days a week).

You will troubleshoot Kubernetes, Linux, storage, and network issues; manage RBAC, upgrades, and maintenance; handle P1/P2 incidents and bridge calls while automating tasks with Ansible and Bash.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience with OpenShift/Kubernetes environments.
• L3 experience is essential.
• Experience handling P1/P2 incidents and bridge calls.
• Strong automation scripting and incident management skills.
• Proficient in RBAC, security policies, and access controls.
• Hands-on with Ansible, Ansible Tower, and Bash scripting.
• Monitoring and logging using Nagios, Grafana, Datadog, ElasticSearch.

Responsibilities

• Administer, manage, and support OpenShift clusters in production and non-production environments.
• Monitor cluster health, node performance, workloads, pods, and application availability.
• Troubleshoot OpenShift, Kubernetes, Linux, networking, and storage issues.
• Handle L2/L3 escalations including critical P1/P2 incidents and bridge calls.
• Manage OpenShift components, nodes, namespaces, projects, pods, deployments, and services.
• Configure RBAC, users, roles, and security policies.
• Perform OpenShift upgrades, patching, certificate management, and maintenance.
• Support cluster scaling and capacity management.
• Troubleshoot PV/PVC/LVM/multipathing storage issues.
• Automate provisioning using Ansible and Ansible Tower.
• Develop Bash scripts and automation tooling.
• Monitor infrastructure with Nagios, Grafana, Datadog, Opsgenie.
• Support centralized logging with ElasticSearch.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer, manage, and support OpenShift clusters in production and non-production environments.
• Monitor overall cluster health, node performance, workloads, pods, and application availability.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting for OpenShift, Kubernetes, Linux, networking, storage, and application deployment issues.
• Handle L2/L3 escalations, including critical P1/P2 incidents and bridge calls.
• Manage OpenShift cluster components, nodes, namespaces, projects, pods, deployments, and services.
• Configure and manage RBAC, users, roles, access controls, and security policies.
• Perform OpenShift cluster upgrades, patching, certificate management, and platform maintenance activities.
• Support cluster scaling, node addition/removal, and capacity management.
• Troubleshoot storage-related issues involving Persistent Volumes (PV), Persistent Volume Claims (PVC), LVM, and multipathing.
• Support application deployments and container lifecycle management using OpenShift and Kubernetes.
• Automate infrastructure and cluster provisioning activities using Ansible and Ansible Tower.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using Bash Shell Scripting.
• Monitor infrastructure and platform performance using tools such as Nagios, Grafana, Datadog, and Opsgenie.
• Support centralized logging and troubleshooting using tools such as ElasticSearch.
