Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services in Chennai seeks an OpenShift Administrator with 4–8 years of experience to manage OpenShift and Kubernetes environments. The role involves building and maintaining clusters, automating infrastructure, and ensuring reliable monitoring and logging.

You will collaborate with engineering teams to deploy Kafka clusters, manage topics, ACLs, and schemas, and support cloud-native deployments in a large enterprise setting.

Qualifications

• Expertise in RedHat Linux administration.
• Experience with AWS cloud PAAS/IAAS technologies.
• Experience installing, maintaining and operating OpenShift clusters (4.x).
• Experience managing OpenShift Container Platform and Kubernetes clusters.
• Automation experience with Ansible, Shell, Terraform; cloud infrastructure as code.
• Experience with monitoring (Grafana/Prometheus) and logging solutions.
• Knowledge of OpenShift operators and troubleshooting OpenShift 4.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support OpenShift Cluster environments.
• Collaborate with teams to build and upgrade Kafka clusters.
• Provision infrastructure and environmental stacks for OpenShift and Kubernetes.
• Implement monitoring and logging solutions for clusters and services.
• Assist with ACL, schema and topic management for Kafka ecosystems.

Must-Have :

• Expertise in RedHat Linux administration.
• Experience with AWS cloud PAAS/IAAS technologies.
• Experience in installing, maintaining and operating OpenShift clusters in 4.x version.
• Experience in administration and supporting the OpenShift Container Platform
• Experience administration of OpenShift cluster as well as Kubernetes cluster by adding New hosts, Creating Environmental stacks
• Strong experience with RedHat OpenShift platform in managing Docker Containers and OpenShift Clusters.
• Expert in automating infrastructure using Ansible, Shell, CloudFormation and terraform.
• Experience in monitoring solutions like GAP(Grafana, Prometheus and alert manager).
• Experience in logging solutions

• Experience in troubleshooting OpenShift 4

Kafka

• Kafka Engineer work with engineering teams and Performs testing, maintenance, construction and development of large-scale data streaming solutions.
• Should have hands-on experience in Building new confluent Kafka clusters and upgrade
