Job summary

TekWissen Group is seeking an OpenShift Admin for onsite Bengaluru to support production environments running on OpenShift Container Platform. You will ensure high availability, manage deployments, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to keep critical applications running smoothly.

You will work with SRE and development teams, perform incident triage and RCAs, and drive automation to reduce manual toil while aligning with SDLC/Agile practices.

Qualifications

• Production support experience with OpenShift Container Platform.
• Expertise in WebLogic or Tomcat middleware.

Responsibilities

• Deliver day-to-day production support for critical applications.
• Handle incident triage, root cause analysis, change evaluation-execution-validation, deployment management, monitoring.
• Provide on-call production support and resolve issues within RTO.
• Collaborate with SRE and automate repetitive production tasks.
• Improve SDLC/Agile practices and automate fixes.

Job Description:

Production Support in OpenShift Container Platform (OCP)

• Deliver day-to-day Application/Platform support services for Critical Applications
• Responsible for support functions and driving the execution of multiple Application/Platform support services including incident triage, root cause analysis, change evaluation-execution-validation, deployment management, BCP, and risk & vulnerability management, patching, monitoring.
• Provides on-call production support of Mission Critical applications and resolve issues within RTO.
• Bring in engineering, operational management in domains like Cloud
• Engineer automated solutions around how application and infrastructure code changes gets built, packaged, assembled, deployed, monitored and alerted on in our production environments.
• Work with SRE mindset. Building Automated solutions for daily redundant production support activities.
• Deep understanding of industry SDLC\Agile methodologies to analyze existing standards in Dev ops and augment the standards.
• Ensure effective production systems monitoring, alarming and notification response/maintenance.
• Leverage diagnostic tools to maintain, troubleshoot and restore service or data to systems
• Ability to understand and elevate issues efficiently and appropriately. Identify system bottlenecks and opportunities for process improvements
• Communicate, co-ordinate and collaborate with multiple support teams and stakeholders

Primary Skills:

• Production Support experience in Open Shift Container Platform and strong Expertise in any of the Middleware Technologies(WebLogic/Tomcat).

Good to Have:

• Handson experience in Cloud Technologies, DevOps Tools and DC Migration/Upgrade Projects. Python/Gen AI is added advantage
