Job summary

Tekskills in Bengaluru is seeking a Principal Engineer to lead core storage domain software/firmware development using C/C++. The role requires 10–16 years as an IC, strong OO design, SDLC knowledge, and excellent communication.

You will independently design, review and code per project specs, interact with onsite teams for issues, and drive technical excellence with proactive learning and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• 10–16 years of software/firmware development using C/C++
• 10+ years as an individual contributor
• Strong OO design with data structures and C++ programming
• Familiar with SDLC and release processes
• Ability to prepare Software Requirements and Design documents (SRS, SDS)
• Strong analytical and debugging skills

• MTech in Computer Science or related fields

Responsibilities

• Lead the core development in storage domain
• Independently design, develop and review software/firmware with minimum guidance
• Design, review, and code programs as per project specifications
• Interact with onsite team/customer for issue resolution through written communication and meetings
• Report status of assignments to the Technical Architect / Associate Technical Architect as defined

Job Title: Principal Engineer

Work Location: Bangalore

Work mode: 5 days of WFO

Experience Range:10-16 years

JD:

Mandatory

• 10-16 years of Software/Firmware development using C++/C
• 10+ years (Individual contributor)
• Excellent in object-oriented design skills with hands-on experience on Data structures and C++ programming
• Should have developed product using SDLC process and be aware about release process.
• Able to design and create Software requirement and design document (SRS, SDS)
• Strong analytical skill with hands-on debugging skills
• Excellent Oral and written communication skills
• Educational Background: MTech in Computer Science related courses (ECE, EEE good in C++ and who can develop code)

Highly Preferred

• Basic understanding of SOC architecture, communication protocol
• Expert in Python

Additional Expectation (Plus points)

• Experience in device driver development.
• Development experience in Storage (SSD/HDD) domain is plus.(if no storage then considers firmware or software) (No validation)

Roles & Responsibilities

• Will be responsible for the core development in storage domain.
• Should be able to independently develop and design software/firmware with minimum guidance.

• Attitude to learn and contribute quickly, Pro-active, and self-motivated in day-to-day tasks.
