Job summary

Tekskills is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with 10–15 years of software/firmware development using C/C++. The role emphasizes strong design skills, data structures, and experience in SDLC and release processes.

The candidate should be capable of creating SRS/SDS documents and communicating effectively in a team environment. Preferred expertise includes Matlab, SOC architecture basics, Python knowledge, and storage domain experience.

Qualifications

• 10–15 years of software/firmware development experience using C/C++ (mandatory).
• Strong in object-oriented design with hands-on data structures knowledge.
• Experience with SDLC and release processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and design software/firmware for storage domain.
• Independently implement components per project specs.
• Review and code as per requirements; communicate status to architects.
• Engage with onsite teams/customers for issue resolution via written/email/video calls.

Role & responsibilities

SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER

Mandatory :

• 10 to 15 years of Software/Firmware development using C++/C
• Excellent in object-oriented design skills with hands‑on experience on Data structures and C++ programming
• Should have developed product using SDLC process and be aware about release process
• Able to design and create Software requirement and design document ( SRS, SDS )
• Strong analytical skill with hands‑on debugging skills
• Excellent Oral and written communication skills
• Educational Background : MTech in Computer Science related courses

Highly Preferred :

• Simulation development using Matlab
• Basic understanding of SOC architecture, communication protocol

Additional Expectation ( Plus points ) :

• Experience in device driver development
• Knowledge of basic python
• Development experience in Storage ( SSD/HDD ) domain is plus

Roles & responsibilities :

• Will be responsible for the core development in storage domain
• Should be able to independently develop and design software/firmware with minimum guidance
• Design, review, code programs as per the project specifications
• Attitude to learn and contribute quickly, Pro‑active, and self‑motivated in day‑to‑day tasks
• To interact with onsite team/customer for issue resolution, clarifications (as required) through written communication‑emails, audio/video conferencing
• Report the status of the allocated assignment to the Technical Architect / Associate Technical Architect as per defined process.
