Job summary

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of experience in toolroom management.
• Graduate degree required.
• Experience supervising toolmakers, technicians, and engineers.
• Ability to coordinate with production, design, quality, and maintenance teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day toolroom operations, ensuring timely tool manufacturing, repair, and maintenance.
• Oversee design, development, manufacturing, and maintenance of tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and moulds.
• Supervise toolmakers, technicians, engineers, and other toolroom staff.
• Coordinate with production, design, quality, and maintenance departments.
• Ensure preventive maintenance of tools and dies to minimize breakdowns and downtime.
• Troubleshoot tooling-related problems and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor tool life, dimensional accuracy, product quality, and process efficiency.
• Ensure proper utilization of CNC, VMC, EDM, milling, grinding, turning, and other relevant machines.
• Optimize toolroom productivity, reduce rejection rates, and control operational costs.
• Maintain toolroom documentation, maintenance records, and production reports.
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety standards and quality procedures.
