Job summary

Fareportal in Gurgaon, India is seeking a Senior UI/UX Designer to lead end-to-end design across web and mobile apps for CheapOair and OneTravel brands. You will transform complex problems into intuitive interfaces and scale our design system for consistency across platforms.

The role requires 3–5 years in consumer-facing UI/UX roles, strong portfolio, and experience with Agile/Scrum. Proficiency in Figma, Photoshop, and Illustrator is essential.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of experience as a UI/UX, interaction, or product designer working on consumer facing platforms.
• Advanced mastery of Figma (auto-layout, variables, components) with a strong portfolio.
• Deep fluency in responsive web design, mobile-first layouts, and platform guidelines.
• Foundational understanding of HTML, CSS, component-driven frontend frameworks for handoff.
• Exceptional presentation abilities to pitch concepts to cross-functional stakeholders.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum development environments.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end feature lifecycles: user flows, wireframes, interactions, and UI layouts.
• Plan qualitative interviews, usability tests, and data analysis to ground decisions.
• Contribute to and maintain a centralized design system for consistency across web and mobile.
• Build interactive prototypes from low to high fidelity for handoff and testing.

Role Description

At Fareportal, we believe booking a trip should be as seamless and exciting as the journey itself. We are looking for a visionary Sr. UI/UX Designer to champion user-centric innovation and shape the next generation of our global travel products. In this role, you will be the ultimate advocate for our travelers, bridging the gap between product strategy and engineering execution. You will lead the end-to-end design strategy across all consumer brands (CheapOair, OneTravel, and our iOS and Android apps), transforming complex user friction points into pixel-perfect, accessible, and intuitive digital experiences. Leveraging expert proficiency in Figma, Photoshop, and Illustrator, your mission is to elevate our interface standards, ensure absolute visual consistency, and deliver world-class designs that scale seamlessly across platforms.

Key Responsibility:

• Own end to end feature life cycles by creating user flows, wireframes, interaction journeys and pixel perfect UI layout.
• Plan and conduct qualitative user interviews, usability testing and data analysis to ground design decision in objective facts.
• Contribute to, scale, and maintain our centralized design library to ensure visual and structural consistency across web and mobile platforms.
• Build functional interactive prototypes ranging from low-fidelity wireframe to high fidelity design for developer hands-off and testing.
• Partner directly with Product Manager to align on scope and work in close synchronization with frontend engineers to ensure design fidelity during production.
• Translate complex technical or business bottlenecks into seamless, intuitive layout that optimize core conversion and retention metrics.
• Conduct user testing to understand user anxiety, booking friction, and trust factors during high value financial transactions.
• Review data analytics, customer feedback, and market research to identify user insights and create effective user experiences.

Required Skills & Qualification:

• Bachelors or masters degree in human-computer interaction (HCI), Interaction design, Graphics design, or equivalent practical industry experience.
• 3 to 5 years of experience as a UI/UX, interaction, or product designer working on consumer facing platforms.
• Advanced mastery of Figma (including auto-layout, variables, and components). Plus, point for tool like photoshop or illustrator.
• A strong, comprehensive portfolio showcasing end-to-end case studies, systematic design thinking, crisp typography, layout, and visual execution.
• Deep fluency in responsive web design, mobile first layouts, and platform-specific guidelines like google material design and apple human interface guidelines.
• A foundational understanding of HTML, CSS, component-driven frontend frameworks, or mobile development environments to facilitate seamless developer handoff.
• Exceptional presentation abilities to pitching conceptual ideas confidently to cross-functional stakeholders and incorporate feedback effectively.
