Job summary

Comart Lithographers in Coimbatore is seeking a Packaging Artworker to join the Design team. You will efficiently build packaging artwork, ensure accuracy, and adhere to brand guidelines and client SLAs.

The role requires proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, a background in Printing Technology, and at least two years of experience in a similar packaging print design role. Flexibility with hours and strong time management are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Printing Technology (Printing, packaging, industrial or related field).
• 2+ years of experience as a print designer or similar role.
• Ability to produce a wide range of high-quality artwork under tight deadlines.
• Experience with Print Processes: Litho, Flexo and Gravure.

Responsibilities

• Build error-free packaging artwork that is consistent with brand guidelines and client SLAs.
• Liaise with Project Managers and Quality Control when details need clarification.
• Create, manage, and archive precise artwork files for PMs.
• Maintain and improve department efficiency to ensure best-in-class service.
• Contribute to meeting Quality & Environmental objectives.
• Generate repro-ready, error-free artwork per internal packaging guidelines.
• Manage time effectively and prioritise multiple deadlines in a high-pressure environment.
• Maintain strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ensure all job data is filed correctly following naming conventions.
• Carry out self-checks on work and forward finished artworks to QC per SOPs.
• Be punctual and reachable on phone as required.

This is a great opportunity to join a fast-growing business in the Design team as a Packaging Artworker.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, ambitious, and commercial Packaging Artworker, who is passionate about sustainability and packaging to join a small, fast paced Design team.

Key responsibilities-

• To efficiently build error-free packaging artwork and ensure artwork is consistent, accurate and follows any brand guidelines, within the client’s agreed SLAs
• To liaise with Project Managers and Quality Control in a professional manner when discussion is required to clarify job details
• Create, manage, and archive precise artwork files and provide them to the appropriate PM.
• To maintain, and where possible improve, the efficiency of the Department to ensure the service and delivery we provide to our clients is best in class
• To positively contribute towards meeting the company production team's Quality & Environmental Objectives
• To generate repro-ready, error-free artwork in accordance with internal packaging guidelines
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and work to multiple deadlines, in a high-pressure environment.
• Good attention to detail and organisational skills that support the rest of the team.
• To ensure all job data is filed in the correct place and follows the client’s correct naming convention.
• To carry out self-checks on all work produced.
• To ensure completed artworks are sent to QC for checking as per the department’s SOPs.
• To be punctual and reachable on phone as per the requirement.

Requirements-

• Proficiency in adobe software (illustrator, Photoshop)
• Bachelors or Master’s degree in Printing Technology (Printing, packaging, industrial or related field)
• A minimum of two years & experience as a print designer or a similar role
• Must be able to produce a wide range of high-quality Artwork to meet tight deadlines
• Must have some experience of the Print Process- Litho, Flexo and Gravure
• Be flexible with working hours and willing to help other parts of the business as and when required
• The ability to see projects through from inception to production.
