Job summary

Billedright Healthcare Solutions in Chennai seeks a Payment Posting Specialist with 4–7 years of experience in US healthcare RCM, focusing on oncology, radiology and Veradigm ecosystems.

You will handle posting of payments, denials, adjustments and patient responsibility while ensuring high accuracy and HIPAA compliance in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in US healthcare billing/RCM workflows.
• Familiarity with oncology and radiology payer codes.
• Proficient in CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10, EOB/ERA processing.

Responsibilities

• Post insurance and patient payments from EOBs and ERAs.
• Review EOB/ERA details to understand payments, denials, adjustments and patient responsibility.
• Post contractual adjustments, deductibles, copays, and coinsurance accurately.
• Handle unapplied cash, refunds, reversals and recoupments.
• Identify denials, underpayments and zero-pay claims and route them appropriately.
• Reconcile payment batches with EFT/check/deposit amounts.
• Maintain high accuracy and productivity in daily posting.
• Follow HIPAA and PHI confidentiality requirements.

Job Role: Payment Posting Specialist

Job Responsibilities

• Post insurance and patient payments from EOBs and ERAs.
• Review EOB/ERA and understand payments, denials, adjustments, and patient responsibility.
• Post contractual adjustments, deductibles, copays, and coinsurance correctly.
• Handle unapplied cash, refunds, reversals, and recoupments.
• Identify denials, underpayments, and zero-pay claims and route them to the appropriate team.
• Reconcile payment batches with EFT/check/deposit amounts.
• Maintain high accuracy and productivity in daily payment posting.
• Follow HIPAA and PHI confidentiality requirements.

Oncology Knowledge

• Basic knowledge of chemotherapy, infusion, immunotherapy, J-codes, drug units, and administration codes.
• Understand oncology claim payments, adjustments, and denials.

Radiology Knowledge

• Basic knowledge of X-ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound, PET, and other imaging services.
• Understand professional component (26), technical component (TC), and global billing.

Required Skills

• Strong exposure to Oncology & in Veradigm software.
• Knowledge of US healthcare medical billing/RCM.
• Good understanding of CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10, CARC/RARC, EOB, and ERA.
• Good Excel and analytical skills.
• Good communication and attention to detail.
