Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Ab Initio components (GDE, EME, Co>Operating System, Control Center).
• Monitor ETL job performance and system health.
• Manage user accounts and access controls; implement security protocols.
• Schedule ETL jobs using Control Center, Autosys, or similar tools.
• Develop automation scripts using Shell, Python, or other scripting languages.
• Provide L2/L3 support for ETL jobs and platform issues; collaborate with engineers.
• Maintain technical documentation and ensure compliance with governance policies.
• Support migration and management of Ab Initio on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP); use Jenkins for CI/CD.

The Ab Initio Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining the Ab Initio ETL environment to ensure efficient, secure, and reliable data processing. This includes installation, configuration, performance tuning, job scheduling, troubleshooting, and collaboration with development and infrastructure teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Environment Management:
  • Install, configure, and maintain Ab Initio components (Co>Operating System, EME, GDE, Control Center).
  • Manage metadata repositories and operational consoles.
• Performance Monitoring & Optimization:
  • Monitor ETL job performance and system health.
  • Troubleshoot job failures and optimize workflows.
• User Access & Security:
  • Manage user accounts and access controls.
  • Implement and maintain security protocols.
• Job Scheduling & Automation:
  • Schedule ETL jobs using Control Center, Autosys, or similar tools.
  • Develop automation scripts using Shell, Python, or other scripting languages.
• Troubleshooting & Support:
  • Provide L2/L3 support for ETL jobs and platform issues.
  • Collaborate with developers and data engineers to resolve issues.
• Documentation & Compliance:
  • Maintain technical documentation for configurations, processes, and standards.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance and security policies.
• Cloud & DevOps Integration (Preferred):
  • Support migration and management of Ab Initio on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Use DevOps tools like Jenkins for CI/CD automation.
