Job summary

KBR Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) in Chennai, India is seeking an Onshore Engineer to analyze and design jacket/topside structures as per project specifications. You will prepare inputs for designers and review drawings and documents to ensure compliance with codes and client requirements.

The role requires experience in offshore structural analysis, proficiency with SACS/GRL WEAP/SESAM, and capability to relocate to different centers or countries if required.

Qualifications

• Graduate Engineer with Master’s degree preferred; 7–12 years of related experience.
• Strong knowledge in Jacket/FPSO and topsides analysis and design; able to perform in-service and pre-service analyses.
• Proficient with SACS, GRL WEAP, SESAM; able to review 3D models using Navisworks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare inputs to the Designer to develop the drawing.
• Check and review drawings/documents as per the checklist.
• Analyze and design structures per project technical specifications and relevant codes.
• Prepare technical specifications as discussed with the client/counterpart.

Title:

Onshore Engineer

KBR Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) provides holistic and value-added solutions across the entire asset life cycle. These include world-class licensed process technologies, differentiated advisory services, deep technical domain expertise, energy transition solutions, high-end design capabilities, and smart solutions to optimize planned and operating assets.

Analysis and design the structure as per project technical specification and relevant codes and preparing the inputs to Designer to develop the drawing.

Responsibilities:

• Analysis and design the structure as per project technical specification and relevant


• Preparation of Technical specification as per Discussion with Client/counterpart

Qualifications including Required Education, Experience, & Skills:

• Graduate Engineer + master’s degree preferable - Experience (7-12 year) minimum of 4 years related experience.


• Should have sound knowledge in the analysis and design of Jacket/FPSO, topsides. Capable to perform Jacket/Topside structures In-Service and Pre-Service analyses: In place, Loadout, Lift, Transportation etc.


• Software exposure in SACS & GRL WEAP, SESAM and Review of 3D model by Navisworks.


• Quantity Estimation for steel structure and concrete structure.


• Good Communication Skills, Enthusiasm to learn new concepts and Adaptability to relocate to different centres / countries.
