Job summary

Lubrizol in Dahej is seeking a Quality Control professional to perform testing activities, support QMS, and drive improvements in safety, quality and operation.

The role involves shift-based sampling, instrument calibration, documentation management, and collaboration with plant teams to meet site objectives. Masters or PhD in Chemistry with 2–6 years in chemical/polymer industry preferred; proficient in MS Office, SAP QA Module, and handling IR, Spectrometer and X-ray instruments.

Qualifications

• Masters / Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry preferably analytical Chemistry with 2–6 years of chemical or polymer industry experience.
• Computer Skills: MS Office, SAP QA Module, statistical tools.
• Handle sophisticated instruments such as IR, Spectrometer and X-ray Spectrometer.

Responsibilities

• Perform QC testing across Dahej Plant and support QMS activities.
• Develop and implement SOPs for analysis and instrument maintenance.
• Ensure operation and calibration of analytical instruments per procedures.
• Maintain QA/QC documentation for raw materials, auxiliaries and final product.
• Support ISO 9001 quality systems at Dahej plant.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance of lab instruments and maintain housekeeping.
• Collaborate with internal teams to meet site objectives.

Job description

Summary of the Role:

• To perform Quality Control testing activities for the Dahej Plant. Support Quality Management system activities, Improve and implement continuous improvements in Safety, Quality and Operation.

Responsibilities / Accountabilities:

1. This position required to work in rotational shift & support the in-process, finished goods sampling & analysis in shift operations.
2. Developing and implementing SOP for carrying out required analysis, operating & maintaining testing equipment.
3. Accountable to ensure the Operation and Calibration of analytical Instruments as per the standard procedures.
4. Managing QA/QC documentation & data relating to Quality and Process, Inspection, Analysis of all Raw Materials, Additives and Final Product of the company
5. To support QA / QC manager to implement & comply all Quality management system, ISO 9001 systems at Dahej plant.
6. Coordinate with service providers for preventive maintenance of laboratory instruments as per schedule. Ensure sample retaining & Housekeeping of the QC lab.
7. Collaborate with the internal plant teams to achieve site objectives.

Requirements (education, experience, competencies and specific job requirements):

Education / Certification:

1. Masters / Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry preferably analytical Chemistry from a good university & minimum work experience of 2 to 6 years in chemical industry or polymer industry

1. Computer Skills: MS Office, SAP QA Module, statistical tools.
2. To Handle sophisticated instrument like IR, Spectrometer & X-ray Spectrometer.

Experience and Skills:

1. Experience in analytical & Physical testing for Polymer compound
2. Experience in industry related to Batch operations, compounding –preferably solid / powder material.
3. Good Analytical instrumentation knowledge and laboratory practices.
