As a Senior Officer – Civil, you'll be at the forefront of our innovation, driving civil maintenance, infrastructure reliability, plant modifications, expansion projects, and construction initiatives that support safe and efficient operations. You'll collaborate with a diverse group of passionate individuals to deliver sustainable solutions to advance mobility, improve wellbeing, and enhance modern life. In this role, you will:
- Execute and supervise civil maintenance and construction activities for plant, utility, and administrative buildings.
- Ensure the upkeep and structural integrity of foundations, roads, drains, pavements, underground pits, and related infrastructure.
- Coordinate and execute civil works associated with plant modifications, expansions, shutdowns, and new project installations.
- Supervise contractors and vendors, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
- Review bills of quantities (BOQs), estimates, drawings, and technical documents and recommend improvements.
- Monitor preventive and breakdown maintenance schedules to minimize operational disruptions.
- Conduct inspections, quality checks, risk assessments, and Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) for critical activities.
- Maintain compliance with applicable regulations, codes, ISO requirements, and Lubrizol Health, Safety, Environment and Security (HSES) policies.
Required Qualifications that Enable Your Success
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- 5 to 7 years of experience in civil construction and maintenance within chemical, petrochemical, or industrial plant environments.
- Strong knowledge of reinforced cement concrete (RCC) structures, steel structures, foundations, industrial buildings, roads, and drainage systems.
- Experience in contractor management, quantity estimation, BOQ preparation, and bill certification.
- Working knowledge of the National Building Code (NBC), Indian Standard (IS) codes, and industrial safety standards.
- Experience supporting brownfield projects, plant modifications, and shutdown-related civil activities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a live plant environment with a strong focus on safety and operations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Effective problem-solving, stakeholder management, innovation, and execution skills.
Preferred Qualifications that Drive You Forward
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Experience using SAP.
