Job summary

Hitachi Energy India Limited in Savli, Gujarat, India, seeks an Electrical Engineer with 2–5 years of GIS engineering experience to join the GIS/PASS factory team. You will provide technical support to the sales team for GIS/PASS switchgear (145/245/420 kV) and contribute to base design milestones.

You will prepare 3D models, electrical SLDs, BOMs, and technical documents; ensure IEC/IEEE/IS compliance and collaborate with sales and project teams to meet customer specifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with 2-5 years of experience in primary design, preferably GIS Engineering.
• Knowledge on IEC/IEEE/IS standards.
• Experience with 3D tools: ProE/CREO, AutoCAD-3D, MS Office.
• Familiar with IEC, EN, ANSI standards.
• SAP MM module knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Read customer specifications and compliance reports as per requirements.
• Define milestone deliverables (Base Design/BOM) per project requirements.
• Prepare Electrical and Gas SLD, plan and section drawings from offers/tenders.
• Create 3D modelling of high voltage GIS for substation configurations.
• Prepare Guaranteed Technical Particulars for GIS/HV equipment for customer submission.
• Execute DtV process during base design phase.
• Prepare SD BOMs and support Sales per Milestone database.
• Attend customer meetings and participate in project reviews.
• Ensure compliance with external and internal regulations.

The opportunity

• For our GIS – PASS Factory in Savli - Vadodara, India, we are looking for Electrical Engineer with expertise in the field of HV or MV Engineering.
• You will join a dynamic, motivated, and creative team with a variety of experience and competencies.
• You will be responsible for providing the technical expertise to the sales team for the GIS/PASS switchgear for different voltage levels (145 KV GIS / 245 KV GIS / 420 KV GIS).

How you’ll make an impact

• Read through the customer specifications and compliance reports as per the customer requirements.
• Define the milestone deliverables (Base Design / BOM ) as per the project requirement.
• Preparation of Electrical and Gas SLD, Plan and Section drawings based on various offer / tender and customer specifications.
• Preparation of 3D modelling of high voltage GIS for various substation configuration
• Preparation of Guaranteed technical particulars of GIS and HV equipment such as Breakers, disconnectors, GIB etc. for submission to customer.
• Execute DtV Process during the Base design phase.
• Preparation of bill of materials (SD BOMs) and support to Sales team as per the Milestone database.Preparation of technical documents.
• Participate in customer meetings as required. Active participation in project review meeting

Your background

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with 2-5 years of experience in primary design, preferably GIS Engineering.
• Knowledge on IEC/IEEE/IS standards.
• Hand on experience in 3D tools like ProE / CREO, AUTOCAD-3D, MSOffice.
• Familiar with international standards (IEC, EN, ANSI).
• Knowledge of SAP system (MM module).
• Expertise in GIS Project execution process knowledge.MV/HV Substation Design knowledge.
• Proficiency in both spoken & written English language.
