Job summary

SentinelOne is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to drive our next‑gen Cloud Security offering. You will partner with Product Managers and engineering teams to define and develop security products integrated with the SentinelOne platform, establishing the Singularity Operations Center as a central hub for the security team.

You will explore third‑party products, contribute to architectural decisions, and guide best practices across the team while mentoring engineers and applying security

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering from a reputable university, or a minimum of 5+ years hands-on experience in OO programming (Java/Go).
• Experience with unit and integration testing.
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL), Redis, and Kafka.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product Managers and engineering to define Cloud Security product requirements and architecture.
• Explore and evaluate products from cybersecurity vendors and industry tools.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and engineering best practices.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership on complex problems.
• Provide security research context on data mapping to the Open Cybersecurity Schema Framework for triage, investigation, and response.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be tasked with building our next generation Cloud Security offering. Working closely with Product Managers and engineering teams, you will help define and develop Cloud Security products natively integrated with the SentinelOne platform, establishing the Singularity Operations Center as the central hub within the security team's toolkit.

What Will You Do?

Primary responsibilities include:

• Collaborate closely with Product Managers and engineering teams to define the parameters for developing Cloud Security products natively integrated with the SentinelOne platform, establishing the Singularity Operations Center as the central hub within the security team's toolkit.
• Conduct comprehensive exploration of products from cybersecurity vendors and widely used industry tools.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and engineering best practices across the team.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership on complex problems.
• Play a crucial role in providing security research context on how third‑party data is mapped to the Open Cybersecurity Schema Framework and how it is leveraged inside our platform for triage, investigation, and response.

What Skills and Knowledge Will You Bring?

Ideal candidates will have:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering from a reputable university, or a minimum of 5 or more years of hands‑on experience with object‑oriented programming using Java and Go or similar languages, with experience in unit and integration testing.
• Proven ability to learn new technologies quickly and grasp complex functionalities of software products.
• Working experience with RDBMS (PostgreSQL or MySQL), Redis, and Kafka for data storage and messaging.
• Prior experience developing scalable and robust software systems.
• Solid understanding of Kubernetes and Docker as deployment platforms.
• Working knowledge of at least one major cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Self‑driven individual with a strong ownership mindset.
• Experience with graph databases such as Neo4J or JanusGraph is preferred.
• Experience with Open Policy Agent (OPA) Rego for policy enforcement is preferred.
• Experience with gRPC for high‑performance RPC communication is preferred.
• Experience with Linux virtualization technologies is preferred.
