Job summary

Kavi India is seeking an experienced Odoo Tech Lead to drive architecture, development, and delivery of enterprise Odoo solutions in Chennai.

You will design scalable integrations, lead a team of developers, review code, and ensure security, performance, and maintainability across projects. This role requires strong Odoo expertise and hands-on coding in Python, PostgreSQL, and related web technologies.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software development with hands-on Odoo experience.
• Strong expertise in Odoo Community & Enterprise.
• Proficiency in Python, PostgreSQL, XML, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Deep knowledge of Odoo ORM, framework, security, and custom module development.
• Experience with REST APIs and third-party integrations.
• Experience with Git, Linux/Ubuntu, deployment and production environments.
• Experience with Odoo upgrades, migrations and performance tuning.
• Understanding of ERP processes: Sales, CRM, Inventory, Purchase, Accounting, HR, Manufacturing.
• Proven leadership, mentoring, and code/architecture reviews.
• Experience with AWS/Azure/GCP, Docker, CI/CD, and DevOps.

Key Responsibilities

• Mentor and guide Odoo developers and provide technical leadership across projects.
• Collaborate with functional consultants, project managers, and stakeholders on solution design and delivery.
• Drive technical documentation, estimation, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.

Required Skills & Experience

Must Have

• 8+ years of software development experience with strong hands-on Odoo experience.
• Strong expertise in Odoo Community & Enterprise.
• Excellent knowledge of Python, PostgreSQL, XML, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Strong understanding of Odoo ORM, framework, security, workflows, reports, and custom module development.
• Extensive experience with REST APIs and third-party integrations.
• Strong knowledge of Git, Linux/Ubuntu, deployment, and production environments.
• Experience with Odoo version upgrades, database migrations, and performance tuning.
• Strong understanding of ERP processes including Sales, CRM, Inventory, Purchase, Accounting, HR, and Manufacturing.
• Proven experience leading/mentoring development teams and conducting code/architecture reviews.
• Experience with AWS/Azure/GCP, Docker, CI/CD, and DevOps.

Nice to Have

• Experience with External E-Commerce Platforms, IOT, WhatsApp Business API, payment gateways, and mobile app integrations.
• Experience with SaaS and multi-company implementations.
• Knowledge of Generative AI technologies such as OpenAI, Gemini, Claude, or other large language model (LLM) platforms.
• Experience developing AI-driven business workflows, chatbots, virtual assistants, and automation solutions within Odoo.

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or a related field.
