Job summary

Sunman Middle East Trading Llp seeks an experienced Odoo Architect to own the technical direction of our ERP program, building scalable solutions and leading a growing team.

You will oversee internal development, configure modules, integrate external services, and drive best practices in delivery, quality, and account management.

This role involves collaborating with management and users to map processes and deliver value across the group.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT/Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of software/ERP experience with strong Odoo exposure.
• Experience leading Odoo deployments across multiple companies.
• Knowledge of Odoo modules and partner ecosystem is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, implementation, customization, and support of Odoo ERP solutions.
• Understand end-to-end business processes across different companies or units and translate them into Odoo workflows.
• Configure and customize Odoo modules based on operational, sales, finance, inventory, procurement, HR, and other requirements.
• Develop and maintain custom Odoo modules using Python and the Odoo framework.
• Take ownership of initial in-house Odoo implementation projects for group companies and business units.
• Own and lead the Odoo department, including technical direction, recruitment, mentoring, performance expectations, resource planning, and standards.
• Work with management and users to gather requirements, map processes, and manage priorities.
• Ensure solution quality through code reviews, testing, documentation, deployment control, troubleshooting, and performance improvement.
• Manage integrations between Odoo and other systems, APIs, databases, or third-party apps when required.
• Provide post-implementation support, issue resolution, and ongoing maintenance.
• Build the technical capability, processes, documentation, and delivery standards for the Company as an Odoo provider.

Role & responsibilities

Role Development Two Stages

• The candidate is therefore expected to think beyond a pure developer role and act as the technical owner of the Odoo function, with responsibility for people, delivery quality, technical standards and future department growth.
• Stage 1 Internal Odoo Department: Take ownership of Odoo implementation for the Company/Group, map internal processes, lead configuration and development, establish support procedures, and build the initial Odoo technical team.
• Stage 2 External Odoo Agency: Once the internal platform and team are established, lead the transition into external Odoo services, including client acquisition support, requirements gathering, implementation projects, custom development, integrations, AMC/support and long-term account management.

• Manage integrations between Odoo and other systems, APIs, databases, or third-party applications when required.
• Provide post-implementation support, issue resolution, system enhancements, and ongoing maintenance.
• Build the technical capability, processes, documentation, project references and delivery standards required to establish the Company as a credible Odoo implementation/service provider.
• Lead the technical side of the future Odoo agency offering, covering implementation, customization, integrations, AMC/support, upgrades and enhancement services.
• Support external business development through technical demonstrations, discovery meetings, solution architecture, effort estimation, proposals, project scoping and client presentations.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Approximately 5+ years of relevant software/ERP experience, including strong recent Odoo experience; exceptional candidates with fewer years but deep hands‑on exposure may also be considered.
• Experience implementing Odoo for multiple companies, industries, or business functions.
• Experience as an Odoo Technical Lead, Senior Odoo Developer, ERP Consultant, or Odoo Solution Architect is preferred.
• Functional knowledge of common Odoo modules and prior experience interacting with Odoo or an Odoo partner ecosystem will be an advantage.
