Job summary

Maersk is seeking an Ocean Contract Management Sr Specialist to support the Area Sales team and center trade and marketing teams in growing accounts globally. You will handle tenders, quotes, pricing proposals, and contract management with a strong Excel focus and precision, including coordinating with stakeholders across regions.

Based in Chennai, this role requires 2-5 years of Tender Management experience, fluent English, and comfort with night shifts (6 PM to 3 AM).

Qualifications

• Supports collection of nominations and maintains nomination database and contracts.
• Supports the strategy team on commitment compliance reporting and governance.
• Prepares Negotiation Package for customers.
• Supports in measuring customer performance, Salesforce.com updates and reporting.
• Supports projects and ad hoc initiatives within TCM.

Ocean contract Management Sr specialist

This position will support the Area Sales team and center trade and marketing teams to manage and grow assigned accounts in line with organizational strategy, goals, policies and processes.

This position will be responsible for managing Tenders customers globally. This will include Quoting, tendering, contract maintenance, coordinating on disputes, IQ.

Will act as a single point of contact for all sales account owners / customer service teams and own the account from GSC.

Purpose of the role

Looking for candidates with 2-5 years of experience in Tender Management, Freight Pricing, Quotations, Contract Management, or Tender Bidding within the Logistics, Shipping, Freight Forwarding, or Supply Chain industry. The role involves preparing and managing customer tenders, rate sheets, pricing proposals, and supporting commercial negotiations while coordinating with multiple stakeholders. Candidates should have strong Excel skills, attention to detail, and be comfortable working in a night shift (6 PM to 3 AM) from Chennai. Immediate joiners or candidates with a maximum 30-day notice period are preferred.

Who we are looking for

• Master’s or bachelor’s degree from recognized university.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Customer Service, Tender, Sales and Performance Management
• The position requires excellent English in written and verbal communication skills.
• Good presentation and excellent Microsoft excel skills.
• Ability to work under pressure - with high sense of urgency
• Detail oriented - ability to perform processes as per pre-defined design
• With strong Customer Service Mindset
• Willing to learn and adapt to new challenges
• Multi-tasking ability and should be able grasp quickly.
• Basic knowledge on shipping, quotes / tenders is an advantage.
• Must have a critical analytical skills / foresee challenges.

Qualifications

Graduate of any bachelor's degree.

Fluent in English with good communication skills.
