• Apply sensory integration techniques to help children manage sensory input.
• Build age-appropriate self-care skills in feeding, dressing, grooming and toileting.
• Support cognitive and executive functioning through play-based interventions.
• Recommend and train families on adaptive equipment and assistive technology.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

• Comprehensive Evaluations: Conduct standardized assessments and observational clinical evaluations to identify sensory, motor, cognitive, and visual-perceptual developmental delays.


• Individualized Treatment Planning: Develop personalized, goal-oriented intervention plans tailored to a childs specific needs, developmental stage, and family routines.


• Fine & Gross Motor Skills Development: Work on hand strength, finger dexterity, pencil grip, bilateral coordination, and motor planning for everyday activities like writing, using scissors, buttoning clothes, and tying shoes.


• Sensory Processing Therapy: Implement sensory integration techniques to help children manage and respond appropriately to sensory input (touch, sound, movement, texture).


• Self-Care Skills Training (ADLs): Assist children in building age-appropriate independence in feeding, dressing, grooming, hygiene, and toileting.


• Cognitive & Executive Functioning: Support skill-building in concentration, memory, task initiation, self-regulation, and problem-solving through play-based interventions.


• Adaptive Equipment & Assistive Technology: Recommend and train children and families on specialized equipment, such as adaptive seating, writing aids, splints, or communication tools.
