Deloitte Development LLC is seeking a Lead Managed Services Engineer II to architect and deliver enterprise observability across hybrid cloud environments. You will design platforms using ELK/OpenSearch, AppDynamics, and other monitoring tools, while aligning with DevOps and IaC practices on AWS.

The role requires hands-on automation with Terraform, Kubernetes, and AWS, plus collaboration with Security and AppDev teams to ensure secure, scalable logging, tracing, and performance insights.

Qualifikationen

• Hands-on with SRE, ITIL practices, SLIs/SLAs, incident and change management.

• Cloud work on AWS and scripting in Python/Shell/Groovy.
• IAM/RBAC/SSL/TLS and cloud security monitoring experience.

Level: LeadManaged Services Engineer II

The Enterprise Observability Platform Tech Architect is responsible for architecting end-to-end observability solutions across hybrid cloud environments, driving strategy and implementation for large-scale enterprise monitoring. This role will focus on leveraging technologies such as ELK (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), OpenSearch, AppDynamics, and integrating with modern DevOps practices using infrastructure-as-code (IAC) tools like Terraform on leading cloud platforms (AWS).

Work you’ll do

As a Lead Managed Services Engineer II on the Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure team, you will be responsible for:

• Design, architect, and implement enterprise observability platforms using ELK, OpenSearch, and AppDynamics to deliver monitoring, logging, and tracing capabilities across hybrid cloud environments.
• Define and enforce observability standards, frameworks, and practices; integrate solutions with DevOps pipelines; and enable automation across development, quality assurance, and production environments.
• Lead migrations from legacy monitoring tools and automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Terraform across multi-cloud environments.
• Collaborate with Cloud, Security, and Application Development teams to deliver secure, scalable, cost-effective solutions and optimize storage, search, and visualization performance for log and metric data.
• Develop technical documentation, architectural diagrams, and solution blueprints; provide technical leadership and mentoring; evaluate emerging technologies; and participate in on-call or production-support activities as required.

Qualifications

Required

• Experience architecting and implementing enterprise observability platforms using ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana) or OpenSearch.
• Experience configuring application performance monitoring, logs, metrics, and distributed tracing using tools such as AppDynamics, New Relic, Datadog, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, or Jaeger, and troubleshooting distributed systems, application performance, and data-ingestion issues.
• Experience applying site reliability engineering (SRE), Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL), and information technology service management practices, including service level indicators, service level objectives, service level agreements, error budgets, incident, problem, and change management, capacity planning, disaster recovery, resilience engineering, and ServiceNow.
• Experience using GitHub Actions, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and Terraform to automate infrastructure and platform deployments.
• Experience designing, deploying, or operating workloads on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Experience developing automation or scripts in Python, Shell, or Groovy.
• Experience implementing identity and access management (IAM), role-based access control (RBAC), Secure Sockets Layer/Transport Layer Security (SSL/TLS), and compliance monitoring for cloud platforms.

• Elastic Certified Engineer, Elastic Observability Engineer, or OpenSearch Practitioner certification.
• Amazon Web Services (AWS) Solutions Architect certification.
