Responsible for teaching nursing subjects according to the prescribed curriculum and helping students develop theoretical knowledge, practical skills, critical thinking, communication skills, and professional attitudes. The professor prepares lesson plans, conducts lectures, demonstrations, seminars, and clinical teaching, and evaluates students through examinations, assignments, and practical assessments. During clinical postings, the professor supervises students, demonstrates nursing procedures, assesses their clinical skills, and ensures safe and ethical patient care. The professor also guides and mentors students in their academic and professional development, provides counseling and support, and encourages discipline and teamwork. In addition, the professor participates in research activities, guides students in research projects, promotes evidence-based nursing practice, maintains academic records, participates in examinations and departmental meetings, assists in curriculum planning and quality improvement, and takes part in workshops, seminars, conferences, and continuing education programs. Overall, a professor serves as a teacher, clinical supervisor, mentor, researcher, administrator, and role model for nursing students and contributes to the development of competent, skilled, ethical, and compassionate nurses.
