Job summary
SFO Technologies in India is seeking an NPI Project Manager to lead end-to-end coordination and execution of NPI projects, ensuring material readiness, inventory control, project timelines and on-time delivery, while serving as the key communication interface between internal teams and customers.
You will manage and track NPI project timelines, monitor procurement and availability, and coordinate with SCM, Engineering, Production, Quality, Test and Logistics to ensure timely project execution
Qualifications
- 8+ years of relevant experience in NPI / Project Management in the EMS industry.
- Strong understanding of PCBA/electronics manufacturing and NPI processes.
- Experience in material procurement, inventory management and project scheduling.
- Proven ability to manage multiple NPI projects in parallel.
- Strong customer-facing and cross-functional coordination skills.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving and stakeholder-management skills.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems and MS Excel/project tracking tools is preferred.
- PMP or equivalent project management certification is an advantage.
Responsibilities
- Manage and track NPI project timelines, milestones and deliverables from project initiation to customer delivery.
- Monitor material procurement and availability, with specific focus on critical and long-lead items.
- Coordinate with SCM, Procurement, Engineering, Production, Quality, Test and Logistics teams to ensure timely project execution.
- Monitor NPI inventory, excess/obsolete materials and inventory exposure and drive corrective actions.
- Ensure on-time completion of builds, qualification and customer deliveries.
- Identify project risks, delays and bottlenecks and drive recovery actions.
- Coordinate and communicate BOM/TDP changes and their impact on material, inventory and schedule.
- Act as the key customer communication interface for NPI project status, risks, timelines and delivery commitments.
- Conduct regular project reviews and provide management/customer status reports.
