Job summary

Sterlite Power is seeking an experienced HV/EHV Cable Design Engineer to lead development of cables and components, ensuring compliance with Indian and international standards. You will provide process support for material and design issues, and contribute to cross-functional teams on new product design.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering with at least 8 years of experience in HV/EHV cable design, strong knowledge of IS/IEC/BS/EN standards, and proficiency in SAP, AutoCAD, and CYMCAP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in engineering with 8+ years experience in HV/EHV cable design.
• Knowledge of IS/IEC/BS/EN standards.
• Proficiency in SAP, AutoCAD and CYMCAP.
• Experience with testing/validation protocols.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Technical Particulares / Design Datasheets & Cross-sectional drawings for EHV, HV, MV XLPE, Solar, MVCC Cables per Indian & International standards.
• Prepare manufacturing guidelines for plant production team.
• Knowledge of Indian Standards (IS) & International Standards (IEC, BS, AS/NZS, UL etc)
• Raw material estimation (Bill of material) calculation for cable costing
• Calculations of all Electrical parameters for HV/EHV cable
• Calculation of accessories for EHV cable turnkey projects with cable system design
• Ability to design new products
• Knowledge about Raw materials of HV/EHV cable
• Knowledge about HV/EHV cable testing
• Familiar with SAP/AutoCAD / CYMCAP

Role & responsibilities:

Preferred candidate profile

• Cable/accessories design & system compatibility


• Testing requirements and validation protocols


• Failure analysis & root cause identification
