Job summary

EY is seeking a skilled Cloud Backend Engineer to build scalable microservices using Node.js/Typescript and Java (Spring Boot). You will design cloud-native solutions on AWS, implement APIs, and ensure performance and security across global engagements.

With 4–8 years of cloud-native experience, you will drive CI/CD, automated testing, and modernize monoliths to microservices while collaborating with architects and DevOps. EY offers a dynamic, innovative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
• 4 to 8 years of overall IT experience with cloud-native development focus.
• Proven experience delivering production-grade AWS solutions.
• Hands-on experience with modern SDLC, Agile, and DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Build scalable, resilient, and secure microservices using Node.js/Typescript.
• Design, develop, and maintain cloud-native applications on AWS with managed services and event-driven architectures.
• Translate requirements into well-architected cloud solutions following AWS best practices.
• Develop RESTful APIs and backend services with strong performance, observability, and fault tolerance.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and release strategies to enable continuous delivery.
• Collaborate with architects, DevOps, and product teams across global engagements.
• Ensure security, compliance, and cost-optimization in cloud implementations.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and mentoring of juniors.
• Contribute to modernization initiatives including monolith-to-microservices and cloud migration.
• Develop/maintain full-stack apps using Node.js and Java (Spring Boot) and deploy on AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, EC2).
• Create technical designs for user stories and support Agile delivery, leveraging AI tools for productivity.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Build scalable, resilient, and secure microservices using: Node.js/Typescript.


• Design, develop, and maintain cloud-native applications on AWS, leveraging managed services and event-driven architectures


• Translate business and technical requirements into well-architected cloud solutions following AWS best practices


• Develop RESTful APIs and backend services with strong focus on performance, observability, and fault tolerance


• Implement CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and release strategies to enable continuous delivery


• Collaborate closely with architects, DevOps engineers, and product teams across global engagements


• Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and cost-optimization principles in cloud implementations


• Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and mentoring of junior developers


• Contribute to modernization initiatives including monolith-to-microservices, cloud migration, and re-platforming


• Develop/maintain full stack applications using Node.js and Java (spring boot), Build and deploy scalable solutions on AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, EC2), Design APIs, Integrate systems, and support event-driven architectures (KAFKA, MQ).


• Create technical designs for user stories and support Agile delivery, Collaborate with teams on CI/CD testing, and cloud deployments, leverage AI tools to improve development efficiency and productivity
