Job summary

The Kids Clinic in Navi Mumbai is seeking an experienced NICU nurse to support daily newborn care, monitor equipment, attend doctors rounds, and assist mothers with feeding.

You will oversee registers, coordinate with housekeeping, participate in staff orientation, and ensure smooth NICU operations including transport of babies and vaccination support.

Responsibilities

• Taking all baby reports from nursing staff in each shift.
• Checking if the every equipment is in working condition.
• Attending doctors rounds.
• Starting intravenous line/ long line for babies.
• Assisting mothers for feeding the babies.
• Taking lactation class for the mothers.
• Taking orientation for new staffs. Educating the nurses about hand washing, sterile technique
• Transporting babies from other hospital by ambulance.
• Keeping linen counts.
• Checking activity entry daily.
• Any issues in NICU bringing to HOD notice.
• Equipments under repair handing over to maintenance and get repaired and replaced.
• Arranging staff wherever required(emergency).
• Pharmacy items billing and indenting through system.
• Giving vaccination and carrying out hearing test for babies.
• Checking all the registers maintained in NICU.
• Assisting for embrace study.
• Overall smooth functioning of NICU
• Attending phone calls.

Weekly Job Activities:

• Making an indent for material / pharmacy / equipment.
• Entering consumable and non-consumable registers
• Checking linen and maintaining register.
• Checking for admission and discharge registers
• Approving leave for staffs.
• Attending CNE classes and meeting with NS.
• Arranging things for ETO/ CSSD.
• Ward meeting with staff.
• Grooming of staff.

15 days Job Activities:

• Making duty roster for staff and entering in system.
• Doing evening supervisor duty solving problems.
• Arranging the scrubbing / cleaning NICU by housekeeping.

Monthly Job Activities:

• Carrying out appraisal of staff.
• Attending HODs meeting.
• Entering consumable/non consumable register and reporting to NS.
• Attending workshops.
• Reporting to bio-medical / maintenance regarding proper maintenance for equipments.

Arranging for scrubbing/ cleaning/fumigation of NICU.
