Job summary

You will conduct outpatient consultations, lead inpatient rounds, review imaging, and develop evidence-based treatment plans, while participating in on-call duties and teaching activities to uphold high standards of patient care.

Qualifications

• Advanced clinical expertise in Neurosurgery and Neurology, including central and peripheral nervous system conditions.
• Strong proficiency in Spine Surgery, assessment, operative management and postop care of spinal disorders.
• MBBS with neurosurgery specialization and valid registration in India.
• Experience in a multi-speciality hospital, preferably with trauma neurosurgery exposure.
• Excellent clinical judgment, diagnostic skills, and familiarity with neuroimaging and neuromonitoring techniques.
• Effective communication and team collaboration, with commitment to ethical practice and patient-centered care.
• Ability to work in high-acuity environments, manage on-call responsibilities, and maintain medical documentation.
• Interest in teaching, mentoring, and participating in clinical audits and CME is an advantage.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Neurosurgeon role based at M. G. M. Muthoot Hospitals, Kozhencherry.

Daily responsibilities include conducting outpatient consultations, inpatient rounds, reviewing diagnostic imaging and test results, and developing evidence-based treatment plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

The role involves participating in on-call duties, providing perioperative and postoperative care, ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and patient safety standards, and contributing to case discussions, teaching activities, and quality improvement initiatives within the hospital.

Qualifications

• Advanced clinical expertise in Neurosurgery and Neurology, with the ability to manage complex central and peripheral nervous system conditions.
• Strong proficiency in Spine and Spine Surgery, including assessment, operative management, and postoperative care of spinal disorders.
• Recognized medical degree (MBBS) and completed specialization in Neurosurgery (MCh/DrNB or equivalent), with valid medical registration in India/Keralam.
• Demonstrated experience in a multi-speciality hospital setting, preferably with exposure to emergency and trauma neurosurgery.
• Excellent clinical judgment, diagnostic skills, and familiarity with modern neuroimaging and neuromonitoring techniques.
• Effective communication and team collaboration skills, with a commitment to ethical practice and patient-centered care.
• Ability to work in a high-acuity environment, manage on-call responsibilities, and maintain accurate medical documentation.
• Interest in teaching, mentoring, and participating in clinical audits and continuing medical education is an advantage.
