Job summary

Yatharth Super Speciality Hospitals seeks a neurosurgeon to diagnose and manage patients across OPD, IPD, ICU and Emergency. The role involves performing elective and emergency neurosurgical procedures, creating evidence-based treatment plans, and delivering full pre-, intra-, and post-operative care.

The candidate should have an M.Ch. or DNB in Neurosurgery with 0–2 years post-qualification experience and valid NMC/State Medical Council registration, plus exposure to cranial and spinal

Qualifications

• M.Ch. or DNB in Neurosurgery from an NMC-recognized institution.
• Fresh graduates or candidates with up to 2 years of post-qualification experience.
• Valid NMC/State Medical Council registration.
• Exposure to elective and emergency cranial and spinal procedures during residency.
• Experience in a tertiary care or NABH-accredited hospital during residency is an added advantage.

Role & responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage patients with neurosurgical disorders in OPD, IPD, ICU, and Emergency.
• Perform elective and emergency neurosurgical procedures within the scope of expertise.
• Develop and implement evidence-based treatment and surgical plans.
• Provide comprehensive pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative patient care.
• Manage neurotrauma, brain tumors, spinal disorders, cerebrovascular diseases, and other neurosurgical conditions.
• Interpret and correlate clinical findings with CT, MRI, and other diagnostic investigations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and timely medical records.
• Ensure compliance with NABH standards, infection control protocols, and hospital policies.
• Participate in emergency on-call services and departmental clinical meetings.
• Counsel patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, surgical risks, and follow-up care.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and academic activities.

Preferred candidate profile

• M.Ch. or DNB in Neurosurgery from an NMC-recognized institution.
• Fresh graduates or candidates with up to 2 years of post-qualification experience.
• Valid NMC/State Medical Council registration.
• Strong clinical knowledge and sound surgical fundamentals in Neurosurgery.
• Competent in managing OPD, IPD, ICU, Trauma, and Emergency neurosurgical cases.
• Exposure to elective and emergency cranial and spinal procedures during residency.
• Excellent clinical judgment, decision-making, and patient management skills.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and patient counseling abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
• Commitment to ethical medical practice, quality care, and continuous professional development.
