Job summary

Max Healthcare in Delhi is seeking a senior anesthesiologist to support neurosurgical services. The role includes pre-anaesthetic evaluation, administering anaesthesia for elective and emergency neurosurgical cases, and perioperative care with emphasis on cerebral perfusion and intracranial pressure management.

Responsibilities cover invasive monitoring, airway management, postoperative pain control, and participation in neuro ICU and academic activities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive pre-anaesthetic evaluation and risk assessment for neurosurgical patients.
• Administer anaesthesia for elective and emergency neurosurgical procedures, including cranial, spinal, and neurovascular surgeries.
• Manage anaesthesia for neuro-interventional radiology procedures.
• Perform advanced airway management and vascular access as required.
• Maintain optimal cerebral perfusion, intracranial pressure, and haemodynamic stability during surgery.
• Interpret and manage invasive monitoring including arterial lines and central venous catheters.
• Provide postoperative pain management and immediate postoperative care.
• Participate in neuro ICU management and perioperative critical care.
• Respond promptly to emergency situations and provide advanced life support when required.
• Ensure accurate clinical documentation and timely completion of medical records.
• Participate in departmental academic activities, CMEs, journal clubs, and case presentations.
• Contribute to clinical research, publications, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Guide and supervise residents, fellows, and junior medical staff.
