Job summary

Narayana Health in Bengaluru is seeking a Junior Consultant - Anaesthesia in the Anaesthesiology department for a full-time role. You will assist in pre-operative assessment, anaesthesia planning, administration of general/ regional anaesthesia under supervision, and intra-operative monitoring.

You will contribute to post-operative pain management, airway safety, and documentation, while coordinating with surgeons, intensivists, nursing staff, and other clinical teams.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough pre-operative assessment and anaesthesia planning.
• Administer general, regional, and monitored anaesthesia under supervision.
• Monitor patients intra-operatively and manage airway, ventilation, haemodynamics.
• Provide post-operative pain management and monitor recovery.
• Attend anaesthesia-related emergencies and provide resuscitation.
• Assist in management of critically ill patients in ICU/HDU, as applicable.
• Maintain accurate patient records, anaesthesia charts, and clinical documentation.
• Ensure compliance with hospital protocols, infection-control standards, and patient-safety practices.
• Participate in OT duties, emergency/on-call services, teaching, audits, and departmental meetings.
• Coordinate effectively with surgeons, intensivists, nursing staff, and other clinical teams.
