Job summary

Purview Services is seeking an experienced Network Security Engineer with 10+ years in the field to manage Fortinet FortiGate firewalls, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, VPN configurations, and F5 load balancers. The role requires deep security architecture knowledge and hands-on implementation across enterprise networks.

The candidate will mentor junior engineers, lead cross-functional initiatives, and collaborate with security, network, and systems teams to enhance overall security posture.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in network security engineering with Fortinet FortiGate appliances.
• Hands-on experience with FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer.
• Expertise deploying and troubleshooting VPNs (IPsec/SSL).
• Strong F5 load balancer administration for high availability.
• Automation experience with Algosec and AppViewX.
• Knowledge of network security design and architecture.
• Certifications such as Fortinet NSE 4/5/7 preferred (NSE 4/5/7).

Responsibilities

• Fortinet Firewall Management: Configure, manage, and maintain Fortinet Firewalls (FortiGate) for enterprise-grade security.
• FortiManager & FortiAnalyzer: Use FortiManager to configure policies across multiple FortiGate devices and FortiAnalyzer for log analysis and reporting.
• VPN Configuration & Troubleshooting: Configure and manage secure VPNs (IPsec, SSL VPN) ensuring remote site connectivity and HA.
• F5 Load Balancer Administration: Configure, manage, and troubleshoot F5 Load Balancers for high availability and performance, including SSL offloading and health checks.
• Automation: Experience with Algosec and AppViewX for automation tasks.
• Network Security Design & Architecture: Design secure network architectures and perform security assessments.
• Documentation & Reporting: Create detailed docs for configurations and incidents; produce management reports.
• Mentorship & Leadership: Guide junior engineers and lead cross-functional security initiatives.

Primary skill: F5 LB with LTM & GTM must

Good to have: Fortigate firewall/Zscaler/AWS(for C1 Band)

Shift: should be comfortable for 24/7 including night shift.

Key Responsibilities:

Fortinet Firewall Management:

• Configure, manage, and maintain Fortinet Firewalls (FortiGate) for enterprise-grade security.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting of FortiGate firewalls to resolve network security issues and optimize firewall policies and rule sets.

FortiManager & FortiAnalyzer:

• Utilize FortiManager to manage, configure, and automate firewall policies and rules across multiple FortiGate devices.
• Leverage FortiAnalyzer for log aggregation, reporting, and event analysis to proactively identify and mitigate security risks.

VPN Configuration & Troubleshooting:

• Configure and manage secure VPNs (IPsec, SSL VPN, site-to-site VPN, and remote access VPN) ensuring secure communication for remote users and sites.
• Diagnose and resolve VPN connectivity issues, performance degradation, and ensure high availability of VPN tunnels.

F5 Load Balancer Administration:

• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot F5 Load Balancers to ensure high availability, scalability, and optimal performance for applications and services.
• Design, implement, and maintain load balancing configurations for internal and external applications, including SSL offloading, traffic distribution, and health checks.

Automation:

• Experience on Automation tools like Algosec and Appviewx

Network Security Design & Architecture:

• Design and implement security architecture for the organization's network, ensuring compliance with best practices and security standards.
• Perform security assessments and audits, recommending improvements to enhance overall network security posture\

Documentation & Reporting:

• Create detailed documentation for network security configurations, policies, and incident resolutions.
• Produce regular reports for senior management on security performance, network issues, and recommendations for improvements.

Mentorship & Leadership:

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and other team members.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives and collaborate with network, systems, and security teams to improve the organization's overall security posture.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Experience:

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in network security engineering, with hands-on expertise in Fortinet Firewalls, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, VPN configuration, and F5 Load Balancers.
• In-depth knowledge of Fortinet products and their integration into enterprise environments.
• Proven experience in configuring, troubleshooting, and optimizing F5 Load Balancers for high-availability applications.
• Certifications:Fortinet NSE 4/5/7 certification is required.
• F5 Certified Technology Specialist (F5-CTS) or equivalent is a plus.
• Additional certifications such as Cisco CCNP Security, CompTIA Security+, or other security-related certifications are advantageous.

Technical Skills:

• Deep expertise in configuring and managing Fortinet Firewalls (FortiGate) and utilizing FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer.
• Advanced knowledge of VPN protocols (IPsec, SSL, remote access, site-to-site).
• Hands-on experience with F5 Load Balancer administration and troubleshooting (SSL offloading, application traffic distribution, and high-availability setup).
• Experience with network automation using tools like Ansible, Python, or other scripting technologies.
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools, SIEM solutions, and IDS/IPS technologie
