Job summary

Purview Services seeks a seasoned Network Security Engineer to manage Fortinet FortiGate firewalls, FortiManager, and FortiAnalyzer across enterprise environments. The role includes VPN configurations and F5 load balancer administration to ensure high availability and secure traffic.

You will design security architectures, perform risk assessments, and mentor junior staff while collaborating with cross-functional teams. Shift readiness for 24/7 coverage is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in network security engineering with Fortinet FortiGate, FortiManager, and FortiAnalyzer.
• Proven experience configuring, troubleshooting, and optimizing F5 Load Balancers for high availability.
• Certifications: Fortinet NSE 4/5/7 required; F5-CTS is a plus; CCNP Security or similar is advantageous.
• Deep knowledge of VPN protocols (IPsec/SSL) and site-to-site remote access setups.

Responsibilities

• Fortinet Firewall management for enterprise security posture.
• Manage FortiManager across multiple FortiGate devices and FortiAnalyzer logging.
• Configure and troubleshoot VPNs for remote sites and users.
• Design and implement network security architectures and assessments.
• Mentor junior engineers and lead cross-functional security initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Fortinet Firewall Management:

• Configure, manage, and maintain Fortinet Firewalls (FortiGate) for enterprise-grade security.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting of FortiGate firewalls to resolve network security issues and optimize firewall policies and rule sets.

FortiManager & FortiAnalyzer:

• Utilize FortiManager to manage, configure, and automate firewall policies and rules across multiple FortiGate devices.
• Leverage FortiAnalyzer for log aggregation, reporting, and event analysis to proactively identify and mitigate security risks.

VPN Configuration & Troubleshooting:

• Configure and manage secure VPNs (IPsec, SSL VPN, site-to-site VPN, and remote access VPN) ensuring secure communication for remote users and sites.
• Diagnose and resolve VPN connectivity issues, performance degradation, and ensure high availability of VPN tunnels.

F5 Load Balancer Administration:

• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot F5 Load Balancers to ensure high availability, scalability, and optimal performance for applications and services.
• Design, implement, and maintain load balancing configurations for internal and external applications, including SSL offloading, traffic distribution, and health checks.

Automation:

• Experience on Automation tools like Algosec and Appviewx

Network Security Design & Architecture:

• Design and implement security architecture for the organization's network, ensuring compliance with best practices and security standards.
• Perform security assessments and audits, recommending improvements to enhance overall network security posture\

Documentation & Reporting:

• Create detailed documentation for network security configurations, policies, and incident resolutions.
• Produce regular reports for senior management on security performance, network issues, and recommendations for improvements.

Mentorship & Leadership:

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and other team members.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives and collaborate with network, systems, and security teams to improve the organization's overall security posture.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Experience:

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in network security engineering, with hands-on expertise in Fortinet Firewalls, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, VPN configuration, and F5 Load Balancers.
• In-depth knowledge of Fortinet products and their integration into enterprise environments.
• Proven experience in configuring, troubleshooting, and optimizing F5 Load Balancers for high-availability applications.
• Certifications:Fortinet NSE 4/5/7 certification is required.
• F5 Certified Technology Specialist (F5-CTS) or equivalent is a plus.
• Additional certifications such as Cisco CCNP Security, CompTIA Security+, or other security-related certifications are advantageous.

Technical Skills:

• Deep expertise in configuring and managing Fortinet Firewalls (FortiGate) and utilizing FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer.
• Advanced knowledge of VPN protocols (IPsec, SSL, remote access, site-to-site).
• Hands-on experience with F5 Load Balancer administration and troubleshooting (SSL offloading, application traffic distribution, and high-availability setup).
• Experience with network automation using tools like Ansible, Python, or other scripting technologies.
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools, SIEM solutions, and IDS/IPS technologie

• Excellent communication skills to convey technical concepts and issues to non-technical stakeholders
