HCL Technologies Limited is seeking a Network Security Engineer - Firewall to manage multiple firewall and security platforms across geographically dispersed enterprise datacentres. You will participate in zone architecture, review security policies, and drive firewall migrations with stakeholders.

The role requires strong troubleshooting skills, knowledge of major firewall platforms (Juniper, Palo Alto), and hands-on configuration of VPNs and clustering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Certification in Network Security.
• Good knowledge of network technologies and data center design.
• Experience with Juniper and Palo Alto firewalls.

Responsabilités

• Participate in security zone architecture and on-going design changes to ensure adequate security protections while enabling business value and outcomes.
• Active involvement in Troubleshooting calls (Participates in ad hoc issues and P1 incident response).
• Ability to analyse, review and clean the firewall rules.
• Analysing discovery information and determines requirements for migration; providing gap analysis at the start of the project and execute firewall migration project.
• Work with stakeholders to review and implement security policy on firewall devices.
• Understand protocol spectrum including TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, DHCP, HTTP/S, LDAP, BGP, SSH/SSL.
• Ability to troubleshoot firewall related incidents.
• Configuration of Site-to-Site VPNs.
• Understand the clustering of the firewalls.
• Performs analysis of network needs and contributes to design, integration, and installation of hardware and software.
• Perform end to end capacity management and Life cycle management program.

Key Responsibilities:

• As a Network Security Engineer - Firewall you will be working with multiple different Firewall / Security Platforms across geographically dispersed enterprise datacentres.

Technical Capabilities / Skills MUST:

• Participate in security zone architecture and on-going design changes to ensure adequate security protections while enabling business value and outcomes.
• Active involvement in Troubleshooting calls (Participates in ad hoc issues and P1 incident response)
• Ability to analyse , review and clean the firewall rules
• Analysing discovery information and determines requirements for migration; Providing gap analysis at the start of the project and execute firewall migration project
• Work with stakeholders to review and implement security policy on firewall devices
• Advanced In-depth knowledge of various network and application level protocols including TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, DHCP, HTTP/S, LDAP, BGP, SSH/SSL, NFS CCNP
• Ability to troubleshoot firewall related incidents
• Configuration of Site-to-Site VPNs
• Understand the clustering of the firewalls
• Performs analysis of network needs and contributes to design, integration, and installation of hardware and software
• Perform end to end capacity management and Life cycle management program.

Required competencies:

• Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• Certification in Network Security
• Good technical knowledge of Network technologies and products:
• Good technical knowledge of Data center design and Setup
• Experience in Products like Juniper and PaloAlto firewalls
