The Role

We're looking for a Network Security Engineer with strong project engineering experience to support the implementation and delivery of firewall and load balancing solutions. This role is focused on hands‑on deployment work, with some troubleshooting and support as part of the day‑to‑day.

What You'll Do

• Design and implement firewall solutions, primarily FortiGate, across enterprise environments
• Deploy and configure load balancers (e.g. F5 LTM/GTM), setting up VIPs, health monitors, and traffic policies
• Work on project-based engineering tasks, from planning through to implementation and go-live
• Create and maintain design documentation (HLDs/LLDs) for proposed network changes
• Configure and optimise security policies, VPNs, and rule bases to support business requirements
• Support troubleshooting of firewall and load balancing issues, working through to resolution
• Collaborate with wider network, security, and project teams to ensure smooth delivery

What You'll Need

• Solid hands‑on experience with FortiGate firewalls (policies, VPNs, rule base management)
• Experience with load balancing technologies (F5 or equivalent)
• Proven background in project engineering and implementation work, not just BAU support
• Working knowledge of troubleshooting network security issues
• Good communication skills and ability to produce clear technical documentation
• Comfortable working across multiple projects and stakeholders

Nice to Have

• Fortinet certifications (NSE 4/5/7)
• Experience with additional firewall vendors (Palo Alto, Check Point, Juniper)
• Exposure to SD-WAN
