Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services is seeking a Network Security Engineer to support and secure our enterprise network infrastructure in Chennai. The role involves hands-on firewall management, migrations, and ongoing security SOP implementation.

The candidate should be proficient with Check Point, Cisco ASA or FortiGate firewalls, and familiar with load balancers and proxy technologies. Shifts are rotational to cover 24/7 operations.

Qualifications

• Good understanding of network architecture.
• Hands-on experience with Check Point, Cisco ASA or FortiGate firewalls.
• Experience with log management, content filtering.
• Hands-on firewall upgrades, installation & migration.

Responsibilities

• Understand and implement network security architecture.
• Perform firewall upgrades, installation and migration.
• Maintain and implement SOP for network security.
• Monitor network security using specialized tools.
• Work with load balancers and proxies.
• Operate in rotational shifts.
• Experience with F5 load balancers and Blue Coat proxies.

Role & responsibilities

• Good understanding of Network architecture
• Hands-on experience in Checkpoint firewalls, Cisco ASA Or Fortigate firewalls, authentication systems, log management, content filtering.
• Technical knowledge in anyone of cloud env (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
• Hands-on experience in firewall upgrades, installation & migration
• Maintaining & implementation of the SOP for Network security
• Experience with network security and networking technologies and with system, security, and network monitoring tools
• Should have good knowledge in Load Balancers and Proxies
• Should work in rotational shifts
• Hands-on experience in F5 load balancers & Bluecoat proxies
