Job summary

Alignerr is seeking a Network & Infrastructure Security Analyst (AI Training) for a remote, hourly contract role. You will analyze security scenarios, classify incidents, and help create datasets to train AI systems used in enterprise security.

The position offers flexible scheduling and the potential for ongoing engagement with a global expert community. Ideal candidates have 2+ years in security roles, familiarity with firewalls, EDR, IAM, SIEMs, and security controls in production.

Qualifications

About The Role

As a Network & Infrastructure Security Analyst, you'll apply your real-world expertise to analyze, classify, and evaluate security scenarios that directly shape how AI understands and responds to threats in enterprise environments. This is a fully remote, flexible contract role that lets you do meaningful, high-impact work on your own schedule.

What You'll Do

• Analyze network, endpoint, and email security scenarios across modern enterprise stacks
• Review firewall, EDR, and infrastructure security cases to identify what went wrong and why
• Classify incidents, misconfigurations, and control failures based on realistic operational data
• Create, label, and validate security training and evaluation datasets used to improve AI systems
• Clearly document findings, root causes, and business impact in structured formats

Who You Are

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in network, infrastructure, or endpoint security roles
• Familiar with firewalls, EDR platforms, email security, IAM, SIEMs, and enterprise security tooling
• Strong understanding of how organizations deploy and operate security controls in production
• Able to explain complex security issues clearly — both technically and in terms of business impact
• Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently on task-based assignments

Nice to Have

• Experience with threat hunting, incident response, or SOC operations
• Familiarity with security frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, or CIS Controls
• Prior involvement in AI, data labeling, or security research projects
