Job summary

Innovatiview is seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Architect to design, implement, secure, and operate the organisation’s IT infrastructure across LAN/WAN, data centres, cloud, biometric systems, and CCTV environments.

You will lead infra operations, ensure DPDP compliance, drive DR/BCP testing, and mentor the team while coordinating with vendors for SLAs and audits.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in network/infrastructure operations.
• At least 2 years as a team/tech lead.
• Proven track record in regulated environments.
• Strong exposure to biometric, CCTV, and event/exam centre network security.

Responsibilities

• Design and operate high-availability LAN/WAN for national events and secure PII handling.
• Maintain and optimise routing, switching, wireless, VPNs, inter-site connectivity.
• Deploy and manage firewalls, NDR, endpoint protection with RBAC across zones.
• Lead infra operations, monitoring, capacity planning, backup/DR, lifecycle management.
• Mentor infra team and train staff on security best practices.

Job description

Responsible for designing, implementing, securing, and operating the organisation’s IT infrastructure—covering LAN/WAN, data centres, cloud, event/exam sites, biometric systems, and CCTV environments—while ensuring compliance with ISO 27001, DPDP Act, and audit requirements. The role encompasses leadership, technical operations, compliance, business continuity, and employee enablement.

Key Responsibilities

1. Network Architecture & Operations

• Design and operate a high-availability, segmented LAN/WAN suitable for national events, biometric intake, and secure PII handling.
• Maintain and optimise routing, switching, wireless, VPNs, and inter-site connectivity.

2. Security Hardening & Compliance

• Deploy and manage enterprise-grade firewalls, NDR, endpoint protection, and enforce RBAC across all network zones.
• Implement hardening, patching, vulnerability remediation, and configuration baselines across all infra.
• Ensure full DPDP compliance, including secure PII flows across biometric, CCTV, and edge devices.
• Maintain complete audit-ready documentation (network diagrams, access logs, asset registers, change records).

3. Infrastructure Operations

• Oversee daily infra operations—performance monitoring, capacity planning, backup/DR, fault resolution, and lifecycle management.
• Ensure resilience and secure connectivity for CCTV, biometric, and exam/event IT setups.

4. Business Continuity & DR

• Lead the development and testing of DR/BCP plans for critical applications, events, and data centres.
• Drive vendor coordination for procurement, SLAs, contract enforcement, and compliance.
• Lead and mentor the infra operations team to ensure smooth delivery and timely closure of issues.
• Train employees on network security aspects, including correct handling of PII, usage of secure systems, recognizing phishing and other cyber risks, and implementing best practices across IT operations.

6. Audit & Governance

• Prepare and present all infra-related artefacts for internal and external audits.
• Ensure audit closure with zero non-conformities, and implement corrective actions where needed.

Experience Required for the Role:

• B.Tech/ M.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engg/IT or Computer Science from a recognised institution.
• 12+ years in network/infrastructure operations; atleast 2 years as a team/tech lead.
• Proven track record of infra operations and audit closure in regulated environments.
• Strong exposure to biometric, CCTV, and event/exam centre network security.

• CCNP Security/CCIE (or equivalent) or CompTIA Security+/CySA+
