Job summary

Zepto in Bengaluru invites a Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain enterprise networking across darkstores and hubs. You will manage routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, SD-WAN, and ensure DR planning, high availability, and security compliance.

You will mentor junior engineers, lead design reviews, and drive standardization across hundreds of retail sites while collaborating with operations and vendors to deliver reliable connectivity.

Qualifications

• 5-6+ years in Networking, with exposure to Ecomm/retail or warehouse environments.
• Senior Network Engineer or Network Administrator experience.
• Strong ownership mindset and decision-making ability.
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer enterprise firewalls (Cisco, Fortinet, SRX), with Juniper proficiency.
• Configure and manage core networking gear: routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers.
• Oversee VPNs, leased lines, broadband, and ISP connectivity.
• Develop and improve Network Environment at Darkstores and Motherhubs.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot outages, and plan DR and BCP networks.
• Integrate WLAN with LAN, SD-WAN, firewalls, and HA setups.
• Serve as escalation point for major incidents and wireless issues.
• Define SOPs, KPIs, and proactive wireless health alerts.
• Lead vendor engagement, hardware selection, and PoCs.
• Mentor junior engineers and review designs and configurations.
• Drive standardization and scalability across hundreds of sites.

Responsibilities, aka, what we’d like you to deliver:

• Administer enterprise firewalls such as Cisco Systems, Fortinet, SRX and good command on Juniper Networks.
• Manage, Configure, implement core networking equipment such as routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers.
• Oversee VPN, leased lines, broadband, and ISP connectivity.
• Manage new solutions and improve Network Environment at Darkstores, Motherhubs
• Maximize network performance by monitoring performance, troubleshooting network problems and outages, scheduling upgrades, Develop DR (Disaster Recovery) and BCP (Business Continuity) network plans
• Integrate WLAN with LAN, SD-WAN, firewalls, and HA setups
• Act as escalation point for major incidents and chronic wireless issues
• Define SOPs, monitoring KPIs, and proactive alerting for wireless health
• Lead vendor engagement, hardware selection, and PoCs
• Mentor junior engineers and review designs and configurations
• Drive standardization and scalability across hundreds of retail/warehouse sites

Are you who we're searching for

• 5-6 + years of experience in Networking, with significant exposure to Ecomm/Retail or warehouse environments
• Industry-related experience as a Senior Network Engineer or Network Administrator
• Strong ownership mindset and decision-making ability
• Excellent troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills
• Ability to communicate clearly with operations, vendors, and leadership, Excellent verbal, written, and communication
• Experience leading designs, reviews, and technical discussions
• Ability to mentor and upskill team members

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of wireless security, segmentation, and access control models
• Solid networking fundamentals: VLANs, DHCP, DNS, routing, QoS
• Experience with monitoring and troubleshooting tools (Ekahau, Zabbix, Wireshark, vendor tools)
• CCNA / CCNP or equivalent
• Experience managing multi-vendor or hybrid WLAN environments
• Strong ownership mindset and decision-making ability
• Excellent troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills
• Ability to communicate clearly with operations, vendors, and leadership, Excellent verbal, written, and communication
• Experience leading designs, reviews, and technical discussions
• Ability to mentor and upskill team members

Preferred Experience
