You will drive automation with Terraform, Ansible, and Python while maintaining documentation and change control. The position offers hybrid/remote work with UK shift timing and no visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage AWS networking (VPCs, subnets, routing, Transit Gateway, load balancers).
• Implement high availability using multi-AZ and multi-region architectures.
• Build and manage hybrid connectivity (VPN, Direct Connect).
• Optimize network performance, cost, and segmentation (Zero Trust).
• Deploy and manage Fortinet solutions (FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, FortiWeb).
• Implement network security controls (IPS, SSL inspection, web filtering).
• Monitor networks using CloudWatch and FortiAnalyzer; support incident response and compliance.

Position Overview

Seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to serve as the backbone of our IT Service department to design, implement, and manage secure, scalable, and highly available network infrastructure across AWS and on-prem environments. The role focuses on cloud networking, security, and operational excellence to support global business operations.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Cloud & Network Architecture
• Design and manage AWS networking (VPCs, subnets, routing, Transit Gateway, load balancers)
• Implement high availability using multi-AZ and multi-region architectures
• Build and manage hybrid connectivity (VPN, Direct Connect)
• Optimize network performance, cost, and segmentation (Zero Trust)
• Network Security
• Deploy and manage Fortinet solutions (FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, FortiWeb)
• Implement network security controls (IPS, SSL inspection, web filtering)
• Support monitoring, incident response, and compliance (NIST, CIS)
• Switching, Routing & Wireless
• Manage LAN/WAN infrastructure using BGP, OSPF, VLANs, STP, LACP
• Design and support enterprise wireless networks (WPA3, 802.1X, NAC)
• Ensure secure and standardized connectivity across offices
• Operations & Improvement
• Monitor networks using CloudWatch, VPC Flow Logs, FortiAnalyzer
• Manage incidents, capacity planning, and performance tuning
• Drive automation using Terraform, Ansible, Python
• Maintain documentation and follow change management processes

Essential

• Strong experience in AWS networking and cloud architecture
• Hands‑on expertise with Fortinet security platforms
• Knowledge of Zero Trust and network security principles
• Experience with routing protocols (BGP, OSPF)
• Strong problem‑solving and communication skills

Desirable

• AWS Certification (Advanced Networking preferred)
• Fortinet NSE Certification
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code and automation toolsExposure to global or multi-region environments
