Qualifications

Educational Background

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

Experience

• 5–8 years of professional experience in network engineering and security.

Certifications (Preferred/Additional)

• Industry-recognized network and security certifications (e.g., CCNA/CCNP, CCIE, Palo Alto, CheckPoint, Aruba, Fortinet).

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in configuring and managing routers, switches, and firewalls (Cisco, CheckPoint, Aruba, Palo Alto, etc.).
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, subnetting, VLANs, and routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP).
• Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., CheckMK, SolarWinds, PRTG).
• Knowledge of VPN technologies (IPSec, SSL VPN, etc.) and wireless networking & security.
• Proficiency in Linux and Windows server environments.
• Scripting knowledge in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Familiarity with network virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
• Firm understanding of industry cabling standards and methods.
