Job summary

NSDL Payments Bank Limited is seeking a Network Security Engineer to design, implement, monitor, and maintain the organization’s security infrastructure in Mumbai. The role focuses on protecting enterprise systems and data from cyber threats while ensuring compliant operations.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in network security, hands-on experience with firewalls, VPNs, WAF, SIEM, and cloud security across Azure/AWS/GCP, plus relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, Cyber Security, or related field.
• Relevant certifications such as CEH, CISSP, CCNA Security, CCNP Security preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in Network Security operations.
• Hands-on experience with firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, WAF, SIEM.
• Experience securing enterprise, cloud, and hybrid networks.

Responsibilities

• Network Security Management: Configure, manage, and maintain firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, WAF, and other network security solutions.
• Threat Monitoring & Incident Response: Monitor network traffic, investigate security alerts, perform threat analysis, and respond to security incidents.
• Security Operations: Conduct vulnerability assessments, coordinate remediation activities, and monitor security events through SIEM platforms.
• Infrastructure Security: Secure LAN, WAN, WLAN, SD-WAN, and cloud network environments while ensuring secure configuration of routers, switches, and wireless infrastructure.
• Access & Identity Security: Implement network segmentation, access controls, Zero Trust architecture, and NAC solutions.
• Cloud Security: Support and enhance security implementations across cloud environments including Azure, AWS, and GCP.
• Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure adherence to security standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, PCI-DSS, and SOC. Participate in audits, risk assessments, and compliance reviews.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain security policies, procedures, standards, network diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Project & Vendor Management: Participate in security-related projects, technology upgrades, and collaborate with vendors for implementation and issue resolution.
• Continuous Improvement: Evaluate emerging security technologies and recommend improvements to strengthen the organization's security posture.
