Job summary

Ericsson is seeking a seasoned network operations professional to provide second level support and technical operations across Gurgaon, Noida, and Bangalore.

You will handle incidents, problem diagnosis, and improvements to existing network solutions, with hands-on experience on routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and related security services. A 24x7 shift readiness is required and the role involves cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in LAN/WAN Networks and Security Operations/Development
• Education: Engineering/IT/Telecom degree from recognized institutions
• Background in Linux systems, Networking and Firewall technologies
• JNCIA, CCSA qualifications preferred
• Experience with Cisco & Juniper routers/switches, LAN/WAN and wireless tech
• Knowledge of IP/DNS/DHCP, and cloud tech familiarity

Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve incidents.
• Diagnose problems and provide short-term workarounds.
• Act as network specialist and suggest improvements to RFCs.
• Support and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, proxies, load balancers, DNS, Email Security solutions
• Build user documentation.
• Provide technical support and optimize network alarms.
• Be flexible for 24x7 coverage and on-call support
• Communicate with stakeholders and customers
• Work with Lean, Agile, DevOps, Automation, AI, Scripting, ISMS

About this opportunity

The position is based out of Gurgaon, Noida & Bangalore.

Candidate would be responsible for providing second-level support on incidents, problem resolutions and technical operations. The incumbent should be authoritative on hardcore networking technologies such as Routers, Switches, Firewalls, proxies, load balancers, VPNs and must have a passion for it. Candidate must be flexible for 24x7 role.

What you will do

• Investigate and resolve incidents.
• Investigate and diagnose problems. Where applicable, identify short-term work-around solutions.
• Act as network specialist and identify improvements in existing deployed solutions, provide input to RFCs etc.
• Support and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, proxies, load balancers, DNS, Email Security solutions
• Build user documentation.
• Provide technical support.
• Redesign and reconfigure alarms for network.
• Maintain a stable environment and optimizes the network as vital.

The skills you bring

• Candidate must be flexible for 24x7 role.
• 6+ Years of experience in LAN/WAN Networks and Security Operations/Development
• All academic credentials must be from recognized and accredited institutions and are further subject to verification.”
• Education: A primary degree in Engineering, IT or Telecommunications
• The applicant will require a background in Linux systems, Networking and Firewall technologies.
• JNCIA , CCSA qualifications are preferred

• Must have strong working experience with a wide range of Cisco & Juniper routers and switches, LAN, WAN and wireless LAN technologies, network security, DHCP/DNS and routing protocols such BGP, OSPF, RIPv2 and EIGRP.
• Candidates has experience in Airwave, Mobility master & controller, Access points, Aruba ClearPass policy manager, Scalance-X Industrial Ethernet Switches
• Should have excellent hands on troubleshooting experience, Good to understand tools like Wireshark.
• Understanding and experience while working with Cloud technologies, Devops, Terraform, cloudformation.
• Candidate should have working experience with Network and security over Azure/AWS/GCP/IBM clouds.
• The candidate will need to be prepared to be flexible in approach to work content and responsibilities, along with out of hours and on call support
• Candidate Should be ready for 24x7 role.
