Job summary

Ericsson GmbH in India is seeking a network operations specialist to provide second-level support and manage incidents across Gurgaon, Noida and Bangalore. The role demands deep expertise in routers, switches, firewalls and cloud integrations, with 24x7 availability.

You will diagnose issues, document processes, and optimize existing solutions, working with Cisco/ Juniper gear and modern security technologies.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in LAN/WAN networks and security operations.
• Engineering degree in IT/telecoms or related field.
• Background in Linux systems, Networking and Firewall technologies.
• JNCIA, CCSA qualifications preferred.
• Experience with Cisco/Juniper routers and switches; WAN/LAN and security.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve incidents.
• Diagnose problems and identify short-term workarounds.
• Act as network specialist and suggest improvements; input to RFCs.
• Support and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, proxies, load balancers, DNS and Email Security solutions.
• Build user documentation and provide technical support.
• Redesign and reconfigure alarms for network; maintain a stable environment.

About this opportunity

The position is based out of Gurgaon, Noida & Bangalore. Candidate would be responsible for providing second-level support on incidents, problem resolutions and technical operations. The incumbent should be authoritative on hardcore networking technologies such as Routers, Switches, Firewalls, proxies, load balancers, VPNs and must have a passion for it. Candidate must be flexible for 24x7 role.

What you will do

• Investigate and resolve incidents.
• Investigate and diagnose problems. Where applicable, identify short-term work-around solutions.
• Act as network specialist and identify improvements in existing deployed solutions, provide input to RFCs etc.
• Support and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, proxies, load balancers, DNS, Email Security solutions
• Build user documentation.
• Provide technical support.
• Redesign and reconfigure alarms for network.
• Maintain a stable environment and optimizes the network as vital.

The skills you bring

• Candidate must be flexible for 24x7 role.
• 6+ Years of experience in LAN/WAN Networks and Security Operations/Development
• All academic credentials must be from recognized and accredited institutions and are further subject to verification.”

• Must have strong working experience with a wide range of Cisco & Juniper routers and switches, LAN, WAN and wireless LAN technologies, network security, DHCP/DNS and routing protocols such BGP, OSPF, RIPv2 and EIGRP.
• Candidates has experience in Airwave, Mobility master & controller, Access points, Aruba ClearPass policy manager, Scalance-X Industrial Ethernet Switches
• Should have excellent hands on troubleshooting experience, Good to understand tools like Wireshark.
• Understanding and experience while working with Cloud technologies, Devops, Terraform, cloudformation.
• Candidate should have working experience with Network and security over Azure/AWS/GCP/IBM clouds.
• The candidate will need to be prepared to be flexible in approach to work content and responsibilities, along with out of hours and on call support
• Candidate Should be ready for 24x7 role.
