Shell IT Connectivity Portfolio seeks a Design Engineer to design and implement network solutions across offices, onshore and offshore facilities. You will work on WAN connectivity, VXLAN/EVPN, BGP/OSPF, and security integrations under guidance from senior engineers.
The role covers capital projects and IT initiatives, with responsibilities for HLD/LLD, testing, and handover to operations, including automation using Python/Ansible.
This role is part of the Shell IT’s Connectivity Portfolio team and specific to the WAN Connectivity portfolio, where Shell locations need to be connected to provide access to the Internet and Shell internal applications. The mission is to support projects with design engineering capabilities under the renewed model. The Design Engineer is expected to have a solid understanding of telecommunications and network technologies applied across the Shell Group. The role supports the design and implementation of network solutions across various business areas and locations, including offices, onshore and offshore facilities. The Design Engineer contributes to different types of projects, including both capital projects and IT initiatives, working under defined standards and guidance from senior design engineers to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable network designs. The purpose of the design engineer role is to participate in projects and deliver the network designs and implementations required based on defined standards. The design engineer will be the key person in the project for all telecom and network elements.
