Job summary

Eastvantage in Bengaluru, India is seeking a Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain our global network to ensure security and high performance. The role requires strong routing and switching, LAN/WAN fundamentals, WLAN, security and voice skills, plus hands-on experience with Cisco Meraki and Palo Alto.

Remote work is supported. Ideal candidates will have 5+ years in network engineering, exposure to service providers, and Cisco certifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in network engineering.
• At least 3 years should be in service providers or 2 years of hands-on implementation.
• Exposure to Cisco Meraki, Palo Alto and other vendors.

Responsibilities

• Deliver signed-off SOWs and manage budgets, time, and quality.
• Lead technical analysis, implementation and deployment.
• Coordinate technical activities with internal and client stakeholders.
• Develop and document solution architecture and design aspects.
• Develop change requests, migration and test plans.
• Provision proof of concept and pilot environments.
• Support Project Managers in managing scope variations and risks.
• Handover documentation to BAU teams.
• Liaise with vendors to execute technical changes.

We're Hiring: Network Engineer!

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Network Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, and technologies. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and security.

What You'll Do:

• Deliver signed-off SOWs and balance stakeholder budget, time and quality;
• Lead technical analysis, implementation and deployment;
• Coordinate technical activities with key internal and client stakeholders;
• Develop and document key solution architecture and design aspects;
• Develop technical change requests, migration and test plans;
• Provision proof of concept and pilot environments;
• Support Project Managers in managing scope variations and risks effectively;
• Support Enterprise or Solution Architects in developing scopes and estimates;
• Develop as-built and handover to BAU documentation; and
• Liaise with vendors and service providers to execute technical change.
• Achieve personal KPIs at all times;
• Other duties as may be delegated by the Business Unit Manager from time to time; and
• Conduct all activities in accordance with company policies and procedures, as may be amended from time to time.

Essential Skills:

Networking with Voice and Security

• Strong routing and switching, solid LAN/WAN fundamentals with extensive deployment and advanced troubleshooting experience;
• Broader WLAN, security and voice skills are highly desirable;
• Cisco and Meraki networking products and add-ons;o Palo Alto NGFW products and skills; and
• Cisco and/or Skype for Business Voice skills are desirable.
• Commercially savvy while maintaining strong ethics and respecting client confidentiality;
• Ability to learn new product updates and technologies; and
• Review and provide feedback on estimation in budget or schedule.

What We're Looking For:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in network engineering.Minimum 10 years ICT experience, of which:
• At least 3 years should be working in service providers; or
• At least 2 years' robust hands-on technical implementation experience in applicable core practice area.

Previous exposure to key vendors is essential, primarily Cisco Meraki, Palo Alto; and

Exposure to other vendors such as Juniper, Aruba, HP and Dell Networking is highly desirable.

Proven experience or able to demonstrate interest in mentoring other junior staff members on core vendor products and technologies;

Certifications

Current Cisco certifications are desirable, specifically: or Cisco CCNP or CCIE.
