Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services is seeking an experienced Storage Admin L3 in India (Chennai & Hyderabad) to manage NetApp storage environments, perform advanced troubleshooting, and guide the team through incident management. The role requires hands-on NetApp expertise, DR planning, and collaboration with stakeholders.

Additional responsibilities include EMC PowerMax/PowerVault provisioning, backup administration, and ongoing storage optimization.

Qualifications

• 7–15 years of storage administration experience with NetApp L3 focus.
• Expertise in Clustered ONTAP, CIFS/NFS, SnapMirror and SnapVault.
• Strong troubleshooting, performance tuning, HA configurations and DR setup.
• Experience with EMC storage systems (PowerMax/PowerVault) provisioning and masking.
• Backup administration experience using Commvault or equivalent tools.
• Solid storage concepts: SAN/NAS, RAID, FC/iSCSI, multipathing.
• Prior team lead/coordinator experience and incident management.
• Good communication with stakeholders; scripting knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead storage operations and incident resolution for L2/L3 teams.
• Design and optimize NetApp storage architecture and DR plans.
• Coordinate backup configurations, restores and issue resolution.
• Provide technical guidance to the team and stakeholders.

Job description

RolE: Storage ADMIN L3

EXP : 7 to 15

Location : Chennai & Hyderabad

JD:

• Strong hands-on experience in NetApp Storage Administration (L3 level) with expertise in Clustered ONTAP, CIFS/NFS, SnapMirror, SnapVault, and storage provisioning.
• Proven ability in advanced NetApp troubleshooting and design, including performance tuning, HA configurations, DR setup, and root cause analysis.
• Good working knowledge of EMC storage systems (PowerMax / PowerVault) including provisioning, masking, and storage management.
• Experience in Backup administration using Commvault or any enterprise backup tools, including backup configuration, restore operations, and issue resolution.
• Solid understanding of storage concepts such as SAN/NAS, RAID, FC/iSCSI protocols, and multipathing.
• Prior experience in a Team Lead / Coordinator role, handling L2/L3 teams, driving incident resolution, and managing deliverables.
• Good communication skills with the ability to interact with stakeholders and provide technical guidance to the team.
• Basic knowledge of scripting/automation (optional but preferred).
