Roles and Responsibilities
- Assist in the design, development, testing, and deployment of .NET applications used for risk monitoring and reporting
- Collaborate with risk analysts and senior developers to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Maintain and enhance existing applications, ensuring performance, scalability, and security
- Write clean, maintainable, and well‑documented code following best practices and coding standards
- Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and debugging
- Support data integration tasks, including working with SQL Server databases and APIs
- Contribute to the automation of risk reporting and data validation processes
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and regulatory changes relevant to financial risk management
Programming Languages: Proficiency in C# and familiarity with VB.NET (if applicable)
Job Requirements
Bachelors Degree (or foreign equivalent degree) in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Experience in the financial services or banking industry is preferred.
Essential
- Solid understanding of .NET Framework and .NET Core/.NET 6+
- Experience with ASP.NET MVC, Razor Pages, and Web API
- Basic knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and frameworks such as jQuery or Blazor
- Experience with SQL Server, including writing queries, stored procedures, and database normalization
- Familiarity with Git and platforms like GitHub, Azure DevOps, or Bitbucket
- Understanding of unit testing frameworks such as xUnit, NUnit, or MSTest
- Ability to identify and resolve bugs and performance issues
- Experience working with RESTful APIs, JSON, and XML; tools such as Postman
- Experience using Control-M or similar orchestration tools
- At least 3+ years of team lead and people management experience
- Basic understanding of secure coding practices and data protection principles (e.g., OWASP Top 10)
Preferred
- Experience of working with risk systems within a financial institution
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
