Staff Plus Hr Services is seeking a senior nephrologist to lead inpatient and outpatient nephrology care in Kamrup Metropolitan. The role requires expertise in kidney diseases, dialysis management, and kidney transplantation procedures, with active medical council registration.

The candidate will work in a multidisciplinary team including urologists and transplant surgeons, providing consultations across hospital departments and ensuring comprehensive patient care.

Formación

• MBBS with MD/DNB in General Medicine and DM (Nephrology) or equivalent Fellowship/DNB Nephrology.
• Valid state medical council registration and active board certification/specialty recognition.
• High-level clinical decision-making, procedural competency, emergency resuscitation and communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct daily hospital rounds in general wards and ICUs to manage nephrology patients.
• Diagnose AKI, CKD, glomerulonephritis, nephrotic syndrome, and diabetic/hypertensive nephropathy.
• Perform and supervise kidney biopsies, dialysis catheter placements, and AV fistula evaluations.
• Oversee Hemodialysis, Peritoneal Dialysis, and CRRT for critical care patients.
• Evaluate donors/recipients and manage pre- and post-transplant care.
• Collaborate with urologists, critical care, renal dietitians, and transplant surgeons.
• Provide renal consultations to emergency, cardiology, and other departments

.Role & responsibilities:

• Inpatient and Outpatient Care: Conduct daily hospital rounds in general wards and Intensive Care Units (ICUs) to manage acutely or chronically ill patients.
• Diagnosis and Evaluation: Diagnose conditions such as Acute Kidney Injury (AKI), Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD), Glomerulonephritis, Nephrotic Syndrome, and diabetic/hypertensive nephropathy.
• Renal Procedures: Perform and supervise procedures including diagnostic kidney biopsies, temporary/permanent dialysis catheter placements, and AV fistula evaluations.
• Dialysis Management: Oversee and prescribe Hemodialysis, Peritoneal Dialysis, and Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) for critical care patients.
• Kidney Transplantation: Evaluate donors and recipients, manage pre-transplant workups, and provide long‑term post‑transplant immunosuppressive and medical care.
• Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with urologists, critical care specialists, renal dietitians, and transplant surgeons to deliver comprehensive care.
• Consultations: Provide expert renal consultations to emergency, cardiology, and other hospital departments

Preferred candidate profile

• Education: MBBS followed by an MD/DNB in General Medicine, culminating in a super‑specialty DM (Nephrology) degree (or equivalent Fellowship/DNB Nephrology).
• Licensure: Valid state medical council registration and active board certification/specialty recognition.
• Skills: High‑level clinical decision‑making, procedural competency (biopsies, dialysis access), emergency resuscitation skills for severe electrolyte/acid‑base crises, and patient/family communication.
